I was actually looking forward to RAID: World War II because you can never have too many games that are similar to the fun and enjoyable Payday. Unfortunately though this game for the most part is not fun and enjoyable, and the myriad of issues makes the game a chore to play. The only time I really enjoyed the game is when I played with friends and it can be exciting playing this way, butI was actually looking forward to RAID: World War II because you can never have too many games that are similar to the fun and enjoyable Payday. Unfortunately though this game for the most part is not fun and enjoyable, and the myriad of issues makes the game a chore to play. The only time I really enjoyed the game is when I played with friends and it can be exciting playing this way, but to play with friends you have to wait a long time to get into a game because the online can be a mess at times. This is unfortunate because when you play on your own the game pretty much bores you to tears because the game lacks a challenge in single player, whereas playing with friends is full of challenges. The shooting mechanics in the game are simply awful and I’m not exaggerating when I say that the enemies reactions to getting shot are some of the worst I’ve ever seen. This isn’t the biggest problem with the game even though it’s bad enough, but the biggest problem is the technical issues. Some of these bugs in the game are actually game breaking and to be honest you can’t look past these problems. The presentation side of the game is severely lacking polish, and that’s evident from the get go. Visually the game just looks tired and it never really offers you anything, and the sound design unfortunately is no better because it lacks when it comes to the realism. At the end of the day I expected much more from RAID: World War II and unfortunately I was let down in a big way. This game had a lot of potential but this potential never materialised because the game just has too many things wrong with it. There will be some that will find some enjoyment, but there will be many more who won’t enjoy it, and the current state of the game will put people off big style and that ultimately means it doesn’t get a recommendation from me. RAID World War II feels broken. Nothing really seems to work, and everything that is in it looks like it has seen better days. The developers have a lot of work that they need to action in order to fix this game, or at least make more of it work before asking for people to fork over some cash.

RAID: World War II is an FPS that gives the impression of looking like a beta and not a complete game. Although the idea is good it loses personality everywhere. Graphically it is a very old-fashioned game, with alarming drops of frames and a null AI. As a positive thing, we want to mention the scenes with real actors.

A Payday-like game in a WW2 setting is a good concept and the live action cutscenes are very good, but it all gets wasted by a laughable technical production with a repetitive and boring game design.
