    These minor niggles aside, Radical Rabbit Stew is a fun puzzle game. The central mechanic is easy to grasp, the puzzle design is mostly brilliant and the retro style visual and audio presentation is right up my street.

    What we have here is a lovingly crafted puzzle game with real pick up and play mechanics, but with the hook to try and get past the next level to see what's around the corner. The constantly evolving bunny threat, your expanding arsenal and variety of level sizes - from large and scrolling to basically fighting in a phone box - keeps the game feeling fresh and never less than challenging.

    Simple, yet satisfying, Radical Rabbit Stew isn’t a particularly lengthy game, and I would’ve loved to have had more worthwhile collectibles to gather along the way; but, it hits the spot just the way a well-made stew should.

The presentation is very immersive and polished with music that gets in your head, original sound effects, a polished set of menus, and sprite styled graphics to write an article fresh with nostalgia. There is a definite taste of 16-bit nostalgia, with gameplay that gradually builds in complexity as you progress. With a choice of two difficulty levels, and the temptation of the blue coins for a perfect score, Radical Rabbit Stew is a game that offers doses of arcade puzzle fun without making it a one tracked affair. Radical Rabbit Stew was a present surprise once the game began. I honestly was impressed with this title for the Xbox One family of consoles for the reasonable price of admission. Don’t let this one go unnoticed as you may really enjoy the experience on offer.… Expand
