    Project Highrise is an excellent skyscraper-management game that challenges the player with deep strategy and rewards them with gigantic, gorgeous looking buildings. Additionally, since the game caters to casual players as well, Project Highrise can be fun for everyone, not just strategy fans.

    With the Architect’s Edition you get lots of content for this re-imagination of the classic Sim Tower. But even that can’t help the lack of mechanical diversity.

    The complexity within is quite astounding, as even after a handful of hours of tower building in, I’m still learning and figuring out how to be a successful landlord. While I don’t find it as addictive as some of the more classic Sim games, the enjoyment and replayability is here without a doubt. Even if you don’t want to get hardcore into the building strategy side of the menus, casual fans too can build some low rise apartments or malls should they desire.

    Project Highrise: Architect’s Edition is not quite as addictive as other big hitters in the sim genre, but the game offers an enjoyable experience and a solid challenge with plenty of detailed gameplay to get stuck into. However, things do slow down the further you progress with your building, and can become repetitive which may turn some players away.

    There’s a huge amount of game content for you to dive into and the variety that’s present in the content means you won’t get bored anytimeThere’s a huge amount of game content for you to dive into and the variety that’s present in the content means you won’t get bored anytime soon. The different scenarios you can achieve in the game have been well done and they keep you intrigued throughout your time with the game. I liked the presentation side of the game because they do a good job of keeping things simple and to the point in both the visuals and sound design. Each different mechanic that’s present in the game has been implemented extremely well and with this comes a touch of realism. It has an easy to pick up and play style and the tutorial the game delivered to me made me feel confident when approaching the main game. Technically the game suffers with a few issues every now and then which can harm the immersion of levels a bit at times. The difficulty curve can be a problem at times and it’s quite easy to become bankrupt which does cause you to suffer some frustration. As far as the management sim genre goes Project Highrise: Architect’s Edition is a very good addition because its attention to detail is off the charts. This is a game that have been looking forward to on the Xbox One because I’ve heard a lot of good things about the PC version and thankfully I’m pleased to say that it was worth the wait. I’m not exaggerating when I say that this game has an almost endless amount of replayability and I’ve no doubt that you’ll be very satisfied with the content that’s available to you. I also have no doubt that you’ll be satisfied with each different mechanic as well and whilst the game suffers with a few technichal issues every now and then I was easily able to look past them because the different scenarios kept me so intrigued from start to finish. Frustration doesn’t rear its head very often in this game even though the difficulty curve can be a problem at times and that’s mainly because it features an easy to pick up and play style and a decent tutorial to go along with it. This then means that Project Highrise: Architect’s Edition may bring new fans to the genre and if you’re already a fan of these types of game’s then I thoroughly recommend that you check this game out.… Expand
