Despite grim subject matter, Plague Inc. is a relaxing, entrancing game.

In a world where the fascination of a zombie outbreak is now currently huge do to mainstream media, Plague Inc: Evolved is the game for you if you want to simulate your own outbreak.

The gameplay is complex and interesting, with a range of difficulties which range from easily accessible to completely unreasonable and it's startling how effectively the simple presentation can evoke a whole range of emotions.
  4. This is simply a slightly better version of its source material, which means it's a difficult, complex, illness-themed strategy game with a lot to thrash out. So, still pretty great.

Plague Inc: Evolved is a fun strategy game. Also on PC and console it amuses and entertains, despite the gameplay highlights, more than once, its handheld origins.

Plague Inc: Evolved has you making your own disease to destroy the world. As you slowly infect and kill humans, you gain DNA points to upgrade your disease, and it can get difficult to either make it kill, or make it hard to cure. Speaking of curing, that's the hardest part about this game, preventing a cure. Popping the cure bubbles doesn't really do much, so if you're low on DNA points and the cure research is 75%, you might as well start over. It's a really fun game, having so much replay value, and difficulty even on Normal mode. (Seriously, this game is hard. I'm still stuck on the Fungus.) It's easy to get bored quickly, as the game takes a while to even get the first notification that your disease did something, but it's a great strategy game, and I definitely recommend this game if you're thinking about getting it.

Plague Inc: Evolved gets a 7/10.

You startThis game has a simple premise: Destroy all mankind on earth. On casual, its reasonably challenging but on normal-you will struggle. You start out as a virus, bacteria, etc and mutate in order to spread throughout the world. You can be relatively harmless, contagious and try to infect the world without much notice or you can start out deadly, infectious and race against the governments cure efforts. It is very addictive (pardon the pun) but thrillseeker's (fps crowd) will not like it because there is no real action. The game features great 3-d models of your growing bacteria/virus and even shows how its affecting the human body. This is a simulation game, if you like simulations then you'll love it, if you hate simulations then you'll hate this. Full Review »

It feels a bit strange saying this but just "destroying humanity" in this game feels like a feat that I really shouldn't celebrate. You can be a disease or be the cure (addon like a DLC) & the different types of diseases are each very different and affects the gameplay completely which I find great. From a basic virus which rapidly evolves to a zombie-like virus which causes the dead to become alive with a click of a button. A different type of game than what I'm used to but it's still very fun!
