Pig Eat Ball is one of the most creative, weird and oddly satisfying indie games I’ve played in quite some time. Weird is really the most descriptive way to put it, as there’s nothing really like it out there. Even still, there’s hours of content to be had and plenty of laughs if you’re like me and can’t get over that you need to earn pearls from bearded clams.

You’re a pig, and you must eat tennis balls. It’s like Pac-Man on drugs. It very random and super fun! Well worth checking out if you fancy something a little… different.

Pig Eat Ball on Xbox One is a game unlike any other in many ways, and there’s plenty on offer for your money here. Despite lacking challenge and taking a while to reveal its depth, it’s still a lot of fun to play.

Explore 20 giant space stations to find different Disguises, and using their Pros and Cons, fight and solve your way through over 200 action-puzzle levels using new, arcade-style mechanics. Pig Eat Ball is easily one of the best games I’ve played this year. It’s just a great game in general. In the end, this is an extremely fun, lengthy, and unique experience, and I’ve never seen anything quite like it before. Pig Eat Ball is a crazed monster of action and creativity, more than a little bit gross, but hugely entertaining to balance it out. The most impressive thing about Pig Eat Ball, though, is how absurdly creative it is. Although you’re always collecting tennis balls, the way you do so varies wildly from level to level. For instance, the first zone is a giant tennis court. This comes into play mechanically by requiring you to guide balls to tennis-playing bugs who then hit them away. Each zone brings new mechanics that it very intuitively teaches you in the hub. Every new mechanic shows up organically right before you need to use it, which works beautifully. In this game King Cake, the dessert-headed monarch, has decided it’s time for his daughter to get married, but she other plans! The King has devised “The Royal Games" in which the winner will marry Princess Bow. Since she can’t talk her father out of it, Bow decides to put on a disguise and enter the competition herself. Along the way, she discovers a nefarious plot that threatens all life aboard the Space Station Kingdom. Can she get to the bottom of things before it’s too late… and win the Royal Games at the same time? Don’t let the name prevent you from playing this very unique title. This is one I’m happy to have in my Xbox One library. Expand
