    Completely unplayable, even solo. Servers crash every 5-10.

    Why do companies believe it is OK to release unfinished games? Flawless demo, **** launch.

    Maybe come back in a few years once they've had a chance to finish development and the few people left playing aren't a strain on their obviously underfunded server budget

    I've finished the campaign and run a few end game expeditions with my pyromancer and my take away is I simply cannot understand why the game is getting the praise it is. Putting aside launch weekend server woes and the occasional bug and focusing solely on gameplay:

    Console aiming, field of view, and movement are absolute trash. Aim assist is so aggressive that I've watched the game get    I've finished the campaign and run a few end game expeditions with my pyromancer and my take away is I simply cannot understand why the game is getting the praise it is. Putting aside launch weekend server woes and the occasional bug and focusing solely on gameplay:

    Console aiming, field of view, and movement are absolute trash. Aim assist is so aggressive that I've watched the game get confused and mislead my target or I've had to continually fight the analog stick to get headshots. Abilities like thermal bomb often fail to connect with the target I aimed for and hit some other target that is closer, even if it's at a 90 degree angle away from where I am. Aiming down sights is so bad that it makes it almost impossible to see incoming enemy ability areas. Sprinting has a delay, as does dodge roll, and both are too slow to get away from the zerg rush of mobs that can continually knock you back or get you locked into a corner.

    I don't know why some reviews say the AI is good because I've found them to be completely braindead. There's four or five enemy types in the whole game and once you've encountered them once you know how they'll behave. They always behave that same way. Some humans flank you but that's not exactly worthy of praise. The game compensates the braindead AI by giving them god aim and obscene knockback/knock down. Enemies know where you are at all times. You can watch Snipers snap aim to where you're going to move in real time. Every enemy with a grenade becomes the most accurate NFL passer in the world.

    Due to the fast paced nature of the game, every class has a handful of abilities that are just too slow to be useful. One such example for the pyromancer is FASER Beam. Too long to wind up for too little damage. Most of the time you'll completely whiff because by the time you launch, the enemy you were aiming at has moved. I can't remember the name of the skill but I had similar issues with one of the early skills for Devastator. It's designed to get you into the fight but it takes too long to launch. In both cases, the wind up time leaves you far too exposed.

    Gunplay is awful. In a world where Destiny and Division exists... this just feels two generations old. Gears 5's gunplay was better than this. Guns themselves are OK, although there are insane damage variations between weapons of the same class. Most pump action shotguns, for example, are garbage compared to automatic shotguns.

    The story was awful. Like Mass Effect Andromeda levels of awful. Mostly because it's practically the exact same premise. Outrider instead of Pathfinder. Every male character has the same energy as The Drifter from Destiny 2, which made me want to punch them all in the face.

    The real (and only) standout in the game is the crafting and mods system. That is genuinely fantastic and I hope other games take note. But with how shallow end game expeditions are (timed boss fights, yawn), I don't see much reason to keep grinding this game for dozens or hundreds of hours. There's precious little to do once you finish the game and expeditions aren't very compelling IMO.

    I suspect the game is burning brightly right now because people were clamoring for something new to play, not necessarily due to the quality of the game. I also suspect that when people reach end game and realize how empty it is, the concurrent player count will plunge. It's a 6/10 game at best that's benefiting from a minor gaming drought and people looking for reasons to justify their shiny new next gen consoles.    … Expand

    They wanted to make The Division, so it's a cover shooter. They wanted to be sure it was no fun, so the weapon aiming system handles worse than the Ever Given. If I had paid for this experience, I'd have filed a chargeback and gotten my gamertag deleted before allowing them to keep my money.     Gunplay, Movement, Controls feeling really bad. One of the worst third person shooter. Cover mechanic in this game is useless . Everyone who is saying this is better than Destiny, Division or any other Loot Shooter is lying. Absolute Trash game. Game crashed 5 times in 7 hours. Thanks to Game Pass i dont wasted any money on this.

This game is a boring as hell looter-shooter, trying to poorly combine Destiny (completely copied and pasted their inventory / equipment menus), Gears of War with Mass Effect: Andromeda when it comes the story. Unfortunately, it doesn't work - it's very pretentious and uninspired; I couldn't care less for any of the characters. Shooting is very very badly done -A total let-down for me.     What a boring game. I expected more. It has some gears elements but it fails to deliver a great experience. The graphics, mechanics and level design are so outdated for a game that is released on 2021

    **** gun play, too much cut-scenes, poor storytelling overall, almost no identity trying to compete with GoW and MEA with full price. The game has potencial but lacks music, ambiantatition and emotion, in another words, lacks seasoning to make it fun enough to pass over other games already well established. It needs much more to survive the post-hype future.

    Não dou 10 pelo começo conturbado que teve no começo do jogo com os problemas de servidores instáveis, mas em si o jogo é incrível cenários bonitos, inimigos desafiadores ainda mais jogando em Coop, chefes bem interessante

    I'm tired of games being released and servers being down. There is no excuse. Im tired of people giving developers a pass on this issue. We pay money for a this product but then are told to just deal with it. It's unacceptable. He'll, even crappy Comcast prorates my account when my internet goes down. Stop making excuses for them or any developer.

    No clue what Microsoft is doing, can't connect for hours even though I have payed to open the paywall for online. And even if I get a connection I get kicked off again after a short time. Game seems ok but what can I do, I payed the game, payed for opening the paywall

    It doesn’t work. Servers are always down: 3 days after it’s still unplayable. Giving the fact I am forced to be online even if I’m going to play solo, I expect working servers.

    i have like 10h in this game and I LOVE it. i will definitely spend more than 100 hours. If you like Looter shooter games like borderlands this game is for you.

    Game seems like it could be fun. Unfortunately it is plagued by atrocious server issues. Cant log in 90% of the time and when i can log in the longest playtime I've gotten was 10 min. Will adjust review when they fix server issues. **Update** Server issues seem to be mostly resolved. Game seems like a good mix of gears and mass effect. Story is interesting and gameplay is paced well.

    With a solid story, great core gameplay and plenty of replay value, Outriders has potential to be a Game of the Year contender, but unfortunately not now. The biggest mistake was making this another live service model where every disconnect, bug, framerate, crash and matchmaking issue stems from a bad server. It's a shame. I love playing it when it works.

    I love outriders, but there are definitely some things that stop me from loving it as much as I could.
    This is a 3rd person cover based shoote that can be played both solo and online with up to 3 players.
    I stuck to this games campaign solo and it took me about 14 hours to get through.. The game starts with you creating your own charcter, and the story here.. well it might as well not even exist.. I couldn’t tell you anything, I couldn’t even tell you how the game ends if I wanted to, basically a storm happens, youre frozen, youre unfrozen 20 years late futurama style, and you come out and wanna shoot stuff.
    The gameplay here is super fun and addictive.. most of the time.. thing gears of war meets mass effect meets the division.. obviously outriders feels nowhere near as polished and detailed as those games.. but for a first attempt in a series, this is a really good one… Something unique here that has promise but major issues is the tier system.. instead of choosing a difficulty, the game gets harder as you progress, everyone starts at story difficuolty, then you unlock easy, normal, hard, expert, and so on… however once you get to a tier you find too challenging aka too annoying youre free to drop back to any previously unlocked tier that youd like… and this is what I did on m way to tier 6, I dropped back to normal.. and why you might ask? I loved the challenge tier 5 was giving me.. however outriders is desined as a games of service game and for that reason, the checkpoints throughout the campaign are awful.. ontop of that there are insane random difficulty spikes… youll go from having an nice challenge to waves of enemies that have you wanting to bang your head against the wall, oyull get so close to the end, or completete the first wave and lose to some scrub and have to start all the way back at the beginning of wave 1 instead of the wave your died on.. enough to again make you want to drop down to normal difficulty.. however… even in normal these random spikes occur, theres even one enemy called the shaman warlord that is so unbalanced and overpowered that I had to drop down to story difficulty…
    Im sure I could have eventually beat them on normal, but story took 3 minutes, normal would’ve taken like an hour. It just wasn’t worth the effort,,, balancing in general I outriders biggest problem.. from random enemies feeling overpowered to random difficulty spikes and awful checkpoint system… so the gameplay can go from great to frustrating, the story is trash, why is outriders so good?
    Well that comes in the form of its looter hook… at the beginning of the game you choose one of 3 classes, and its so addictive to find weapons through this game and try to tailor them to your specific playstyle.. overcome these sometimes annoying challenges with a feeling god like power… as as you level up, youll choose 3 abilities to have at yoru disposal during combat… there is post game content though.. and plenty… the story mode is essentially you getting your character ready for the online bits.. even though of course you can play through the story with friends… but after the game is where leveling up your tier really starts to matter, this is where youll be challenging yourself to unlock new areas and collect all of these fallen pods…I however personally found the actual world of outriders to be pretty lack luster and uninteresting.. so naturally I have no interest in going off and grinding.. though I do believe the mechanics are fun enough here for plenty who would based on that alone…
    Outriders again has potential as a series.. would I play outriders 2? Yes…
    s again I loved the gameplay hook and Id love a sequal that balances everything out better.
    Am I clamoring for outriders 2? No.
    Again the story and world are lacking, and im not quite sure how the team over at people can fly can fix it.

    Pro’s: -Tons of customization in how you want to play from abilities, skills, weapon types, armor, and mods. -A stripped down Diablo 3 / Destiny 2 in 3 person -Killing enemies is a blast -Story and world building are actually pretty decent Con’s: -Launch issues (mainly    TL:DR: Considering it comes free with XBGP, there’s not too much to complain about and it’s well worth playing.

    Pro’s: -Tons of customization in how you want to play from abilities, skills, weapon types, armor, and mods. -A stripped down Diablo 3 / Destiny 2 in 3 person

    -Story and world building are actually pretty decent

    Con’s:
    -Launch issues (mainly difficulty loading in and system crashes) but nowhere near Anthem’s issues
    -Many battle areas are literally paintball settings
    -Swarming enemies make DPS or Tank almost necessary for solo play
    -The dialog and voice acting of the protagonist is brutal at times

    If you have GP this is a must play. I doubt I’ll pour more than around 40-60 hours into it, but it’s a ton of fun. This game was on my radar for a long time and hasn’t disappointed the way Anthem or Cyberpunk did.    … Expand

    Bom jogo, boa dinâmica, jogo feito para a nova geração, bem parecido com a dinâmica do Gears com um Q de The Division, claro que gráficamente para a geração One S ou FAT ele engasga um pouco e é meio travado.

Los servidores están bien hasta la fecha solo estuvieron caídos el día 2 de abril pero como los Fanboys vieron una noticia en alguna página de noticias de videojuegos salen con la excusa que el juego es basura y no puedo entrar cuando la realidad es otra.No se dejen engañar el juego es bueno la mayoría de las reseñas negativas son de Fanboys azules que tuvieron que pagar por el juego . People are blaming this game for server issues and I also had a few at the beginning on the release day but still I was able to play a few hours without disconnecting.     Excelente juego, llevo ya más de 20 horas, cierto que tiene pocas fallas en el control que pueden pulirse, pero este juego no le tengo fallas al jugar, no he sufrido desconexiones, y es adictivo, la historia te envuelve, es interesante y te recuerda algo al Mass Effect, y estar subiendo de niveles te vuelve adicto, los jefes intermedios son divertidísimo y desde el comienzo hay acción,Excelente juego, llevo ya más de 20 horas, cierto que tiene pocas fallas en el control que pueden pulirse, pero este juego no le tengo fallas al jugar, no he sufrido desconexiones, y es adictivo, la historia te envuelve, es interesante y te recuerda algo al Mass Effect, y estar subiendo de niveles te vuelve adicto, los jefes intermedios son divertidísimo y desde el comienzo hay acción, lo recomiendo al 100% y en game pass ,aprovechen lo yo sin gamepass jamás habría probado esta joya, no lo piensen y adrentense, no se arrepentirán.… Expand

    Buggy and broken. Every time the developer releases a patch to "fix" one of many game-breaking bugs, they introduce 5 more game-breaking bugs. People Can Fly clearly have no idea what they are doing. Thought Cyberpunk 2077 was bad? This is worse. You are better of spending your time and money on ANYTHING else.

The game's prologue is at least an hour long, and it's a slow pace that doesn't do much to immediately draw players in. Controls are not the best, they're overly sensitive, and non-responsive when aming. Slight    So much wasted potential with this one.

    Gameplay wise, it's a budget Mass Effect, but with less to do. You complete a few very linear missions, watch some cutscenes and then go buy some loot.

    That really is all there is to it, the game might be more fun with a squad but playing solo is literally just running through enemy infested areas, shoot a lot of enemies, defeat a mini-boss, progress to the next area, to do the same again. Do this over and over again for about twenty minutes. You'll occasionally flip a switch.

    It's a very hollow, shallow and lonely experience. NPC's to escort you might help with the story, but it's not much of a story for them to help progress anyway.

    The cover system is awkward to use too, contextual buttons change in ways that go against what players would expect.

    Rinse, repeat till done. The only good thing is the difficulty, it can scale with your characters progress if you want. I'd recommend turning this on as the game is a walkover without it.

    Updates might introduce better side missions/bonus missions but the main story isn't anything special and doesn't do anything to keep players engaged.

    I got this for free with Game Pass, I don't feel ripped off, just dissapointed with the time I invested and got little in return.

The gameplay is mostly good: third person shooting with super powers, plus a loot/upgrade system that is better than many other similar games out there. The four playable classes feel different and their abilities are fun to use.

    The technical issues are what damn near kill the game. There are many bugs, such as some special abilities not working as intended, the GPS system not taking you to the correct mission, enemies not taking damage when you shoot them. There is also lag in just about every game I have played with other people. The friend I predominantly play this game with has a gigabit connection, as do I, yet we still experience a moderate amount of lag. The servers also randomly boot us every now and then. Sometimes, I can't even connect to a game at all.

    There are also other minor complaints. For example, the cutscenes can be long, slow, and boring. The animations are identical regardless of your character class; would it be that hard to have a different melee animation each one? These don't really bring down the game, but they come across as lazy.

    This release was very disappointing because I enjoyed PCF's Bulletstorm as well as their work in the GoW series. My guess is publisher pressure forced the release. Either way, the core gameplay, which is fun, is covered with a layer of suck. The only reason I have continued to play it is because my friend wants to finish it and we got it for free on Game Pass; it is definitely NOT worth the money.    … Expand

    Really fun looter shooter, totally let down by:
    1. Being launched in a VERY buggy and unfinished state
    2. Overcomplicated Design that just makes no sense and results in huge difficulties when they want to change that design 3. Spaghetti coding where every patch they release has broken something in a major way 4. Ridiculous decision to have a camp instead of a proper matchmaking lobby.     4. A non service based design, and yet their loot drops are weighted towards a service based grind, so you end up with the worst of both worlds

    Dont listen to half the bad reviews havnt encountered a single bug and the game is ridicoulsy fun its like gears of war borderlands 3 and destiny had a baby 10/10 would reccomend and the boss fights are sick.

    I loved this game. I know that servers are apparently a problem, and I know people have complaints about glitches, but I haven’t had any problems with connection to the servers at my house. The only 2 times I did was when they shut the servers down for maintenance and once at my cousins house before we realized someone unplugged our Ethernet cable. As for the glitches, the only major glitches I’ve seen have been in the cutscenes, not gameplay like people are vehemently proclaiming. Even outside of gameplay the only glitches were my own characters animation glitches like my pancho clipping through my arm or my roll dodge not showing the right speed. I do however agree to the complaint about the game needing to be connected to the internet to even play, that IS ridiculous.

    As for the story, I loved it, I’ve been seeing people saying that it’s a copy of destiny and this and that, it’s not really a copy of Destiny, story wise. Gameplay wise it is, but better and more customizable.

    I like the accolades section, at first I wanted to say “Destiny needs accolades” but then I remembered that it has triumphs, which in all honesty I feel like they could be sorted better. Outriders does it right by sorting it under “Combat,” “Progression,” “Hunt,” “Teamwork,” “Item management, and the four classes, instead of “Location A, B, C, D, E, F, G” and “Endgame activities” and “S E A S O N S.”

    Lastly I love the ability to change the difficulty, it feels great to just drop the damage on a boss that made your whole day worse by being a spastic little s*** with an unfair second phase, (Yagak) and burning through them like a lit fuse only to make you call yourself an idiot for dropping it too low so that they don’t drop jack squat. It hurts, but it’s fair. High difficulty, high reward.

    Also I really don’t want outriders to ever have PVP. That would absolutely ruin it    … Expand

    There are plenty of shortcomings in Outriders - from the gameplay standpoint and to the massive number of technical hiccups. But even so, the deep and rewarding role playing system can make up for some of it. If you love the looter-shooter genre, then wait for Outriders to get a price drop, or simply try the game with Game Pass.

    The “old gen” versions of Outriders do not have to be ashamed of the comparison with their counterparts on next gen consoles. The weight of the years in terms of hardware is felt in the framerate, the loading times as well as the displayed resolutions, which encroaches a little on the comfort of play without being crippling, quite the contrary. The game from People Can Fly and Square Enix retains on PS4 and Xbox One all the qualities and faults of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions, starting with a hard-hitting combat system, an intoxicating rise to power of the avatar, a mysterious planet Enoch, but also general instability responsible for several crashes.

    While Outriders doesn’t invent any new mechanics, the story is enjoyable, and the interesting classes, gear system, and world tiers make for some very challenging but fun gameplay. There were definitely a few hiccups on release day, and there are some easy alterations that can be made to make Outriders more accessible. But I would definitely recommend picking up this title.
