Gameplay is pretty much the same as prior installments. Each level you contend with hordes of bad guys using your favourite characters from the show, you must complete the objective and the optional sub missions.Using a variety of different attacks and special moves, with plenty of destruction to be dealt to the level environment make dealing with the enimies satisfying enough to distract from the fact that the enemy forces never really feel like they pose too much of a threat and boss / sub boss fights not being that difficult either. The game boasts a great storyline to pull from as stays relitively true to that, with great cut scenes retelling the story starting at the Alabasta arc of the series / manga. Visually the game provides good character design that look like the much beloved characters. Offering up detailed level designs and plenty of colour that will keep your attention drawn in. The destruction model is nice and feels satisfying when you destroy a house after sending a handful of baddies through the front wall. Overall: This is a deffinate pick up for fans of the series. If you are looking to get into the game series I would still suggest getting this but hold off playing till you have played prior installments to catch up on the amazing story the series has to offer. While the AI offer not too much of a threat causing a bit of lack of game accomplishment this game redeems itself with the storyline, character design and animations. Expand

One Piece World Seeker is better then Pirate Warriors 4. With world Seeker we had beautiful graphics, good new story and very fun gameplay and exploration. This is just a mindless button mashing game. And most assets are reused from prior games. It got very repetitive after playing for few hours. I highly recommend getting World Seeker instead of this game.

I see a lot of changes after Pirate wars 3. First of all, the most important thing that we so lacked - the Ability to choose Techniques! First of all, the most important thing that we so lacked - the Ability to choose Techniques! We were allowed to create a perfect list of techniques for ourselves. In part 3, You might not have been happy with the styles of punches, but now you choose it yourself. Each character has become unique, having its own fighting style, and not just a model like all the others. You need to get used to each character, learn their strike techniques, pump them up, and choose the best fighting style for them! The graphics in the Nintendo Switch version have grown a lot! Now this is not a quick version, part 4 was released simultaneously with all other versions on consoles and it is clear that it does not differ in quality, But in the Nintendo version, this is more of a plus! Become more elaborate levels, and most importantly it the effect of razrushaemosti locations! This experiment I took as a good because it adds visual power heroes, you see what they are able to destroy the building, not just people ! Besides heroes now can jump on the building that too, it was impossible to do in 3rd part! It is also a noticeable plus in the treasury.
Now The Cons! The most important thing is the monotony of the plot and fights! Even the arches that were repeated many times could be shown from some other side, come up with something new that was not before. It is possible to add some separate mechanics that will only be in the story, something that would make the next repeat of the story interesting! But alas, the same thing again. Capture the base, defeat the bosses, collect rewards... the same thing. The second disadvantage is the promotion of the plot compared to the 3 parts. 3 part of ended on Battle with Dofi and after him in 4 parts of goes just 2 episodes on 6 parts of, given how many was passed until this. You could further reduce the previous stories, but more stretch to new but you did not do, but in vain! Result. In General, the game has acquired a decent number of innovations, which is not surprising for the new part. Rather, it would be strange if it remained unchanged. But the sad thing is that it remained the same passing project for 1 time, it did not do anything surprising for this genre. She didn't let us say "Wow, this has never happened in such genres". Even the "attack of the titans" in this regard was something unique, for the sake of mechanics you went into the game because in other games this was not the case. But in part 4 "One Piece", we again Mindlessly Click the buttons, watch the screensavers, and repeat again. P.S Thank you for the opportunity to choose music from the anime "openings" before the battles. I appreciated it. This is gave additional energy to play further.

Overall, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is one of the best Musou games that I have played (for the ones based off anime). I'm not a fan of One Piece, but this game is really good and I think all Warriors fans should give it a try. The character variety and fast gameplay make it highly enjoyable.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is a real blast as it injects the madcap abilities and personas of the One Piece universe into the Musou style of gameplay that the Warriors games are known for. Sure, the objectives themselves are quite bland, but the action itself is a hell of a lot of fun thanks to the varied roster possessing devastating moves.
