    Obey Me on Xbox One is a lot of fun to play. It’s challenging, fast and furious, and thankfully comes with an appealing story and graphical style. There are issues with the camera, but nothing game breaking, and with lots of fun to be had pushing back demons, what more recommendation do you need?

    If Obey Me's many elements culminated in a more focused combat system then it would have been a must-have arena brawler.

    All things considered, then, Obey Me is… fine. It’s not remarkable in any way, but it’s perfectly playable. Its take-it-or-leave-it story gives way to passable combat, set in a bland world. There are plenty of other games out there offering something similar, and doing a much better job of it. Still, at least here you get the bonus of being accompanied by a doberman from hell.

    Obey Me is a Top-Down Hack-and-Slash game. You play as Vanessa, a Soulhuntress in the midst of the ongoing conflict between Heaven and Hell,Obey Me is a Top-Down Hack-and-Slash game. You play as Vanessa, a Soulhuntress in the midst of the ongoing conflict between Heaven and Hell, well mostly Hell and Hell. Staying at his masters' side is her Hellhound Monty (I LOVE MONTY). Monty is 100% canine, and his commentary kept a smile on my face most of the game. This is a total button masher, as the better majority of your moves are spam A and add Y or B once and a while. The game has a dark aesthetic very befitting the story and the music meshes nearly flawlessly with it. The game is aimed at playing Co-Op, and the second player controls Monty. Vanessa and Monty both have their own skill tree, as does each of the weapons you find and use as Vanessa. Much like finding the new weapons, Monty will acquire new forms to chose from, this acquisition is also disturbing, and funny. Vanessa and Montys' ultimate ability it fusing together, creating a much more powerful avatar, with new powers and health regeneration. The game is a lot of wash rinse repeat, that can get a bit stale at times. This is the kind of game you play in bursts, enjoy a level, and put it down, then pick it back up later. The controls are something to work with, and until you get the hang of them they can feel inaccurate. Obey Me is a beast of a hack and slash, and fans of the genre will be right at home.… Full Review »
