Forget leaving with a lasting message about the dangers of capitalism - the only thing you’re likely to remember about Norman’s Great Illusion on Xbox One is how utterly tedious those minigames were.

You must overcome social and economic tensions for one year. At the end of this year you are given one of seven possible endings. There isn't a lot of interactivity in the game with the exception of what you need to interact with to move the story along. Some outside context would have been nice, even hunting towards how well you're doing. There are mini games in between the days, and your commute to and from work. Driving is a timing bar, and other times you'll be doing math or answering questions. Unless you're after social intrigue with consequences to your every action, you may not want to spend your time here. Otherwise the story is fairly in depth and your interactions and decisions have bearing on your overall experience. Everyone important has their own opinion, and this will take bearing over how your choices. As much as its an interactive novel, its also a life sim as you must watch your fiances too. If you enjoy digging into potential answeres and outcomes, and you can get past the mini-games, Norman's Great Illusion might be something you want to take a look at. Expand
