Ultimately, Neoverse on Xbox is a rather addictive offering within the deck-building genre and will lure you in for session after session. The complex nature of the gameplay is a slight stumbling block, but soon becomes its best asset as you’re stringing combos together and buffing yourself up for the challenges ahead.

Neoverse doesn’t have a reason why these women jump through portals to fight monsters, but who cares with a deckbuilding roguelike system this addictive. Its high difficulty will force you to stay on your toes, but there’s enough here to keep playing for hours. Still, if you can’t get past the lack of narrative, uninspired rewards, and design, then you might want to play something else.

Neoverse is a deck-building roguelite with some impressive systems and lots of room for intricate strategy, however its presentation, lack of modes, narrative or personality really make it feel a few cards short of a full deck.

A card game that requires strategy and brain. Anyone who likes card games can have fun. You can enjoy it without knowing how time is going.

It has some good ideas but the bad translation and the janky presentation make it feel cheap and unprofessional. All these 10s with cookie-cutter bad English reviews make me wonder about how many of these are part of the team as well. Try it if you'd like, it's on GamePass, but it's nowhere near the depth and strength of Slay The Spire. Combat drags on too long and it just doesn't feel quite right. Expand
