This game was cool in 2010, but re-released it 10 years later and 2 years after shutting down the servers and selling it for $ 30 for 0 improvements, neither textures, or fps. It would have been great to change the frosbite graphic motor then, but why would we do that when we want to kill the rest of the respect players have for us.
The worst scam of 2020. Shame on EA (once again)

There is no local multiplayer mode (split screen). This turned out to be unexpected for me. Money wasted.

Feel the thrill of the chase and the rush of escape in Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered on Xbox One & Xbox Series S | X. Unleash a savage sense of speed both as an outlaw and a cop in the world's hottest high-performance cars. Outsmart the heat or take down lawbreakers with the tactical weaponry at your disposal in a heart-pumping, socially competitive racing experience. Updated with enhanced visuals, cross-platform multiplayer to include the asynchronous competition powered by Autolo. As a nice package all additional main DLC is also present, This is the ultimate edition of Criterion Games’ critically acclaimed Need for Speed debut. It’s time to reignite the pursuit. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit was a truly great Need for Speed game. Released in 2010, its iconic position in the franchise is due in part to the fact that it was developed by Criterion Games, the team behind the fabulous Burnout series. While it carries the Need of Speed name, Hot Pursuit melded the two franchises together, creating a fast and brash arcade racer that stood head and shoulders above the other racers of the time. Remastering games is quite popular trend these days due to the lack of time involved to a new IP or sequel to release between the newest games. it's been always a thing but now it's quite popular and it's something I really personally enjoy seeing as long as they are done right. Because I just don't understand developers that releases another game that actually and almost looks and feels like the last game of the series . Just bring DLC's or Remaster it's easy enough to do and a solid job has been accomplished here.! Hot Pursuit is back with higher performance stats and better visuals some extra music tracks as well. .It feels quite nice to have this game remastered and in the end of 2020 made me feel like I'm back in 2010 reliving the original experience all over again. With Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered we get classic arcade racing refreshed in our Xbox libraries and they actually didn't change the original graphics they just made them better with what feels about the same with better controllers, hardware and televisions to display it on. Looks great on Xbox One and Xbox One Series X so you can't go wrong on this one if you were a fan of the original for sure. Expand

    Pros:
    + playing as a cop
    + graphics aged well
    + short races
    + not open-world
    + balanced difficulty

    Cons:
    - barely a remaster
    - boring ost
    - no car customization
    - too many time trials
    - boring scenarios

EA looking for a quick money grab. The game is okay, however it seems to be missing some console exclusives every racing game needs. 1st split screen play. 2nd Offline lan play or system link. I like the racing multiplayer games in our house but I'm not going to pay 3 xbox live subscription just to be able to play online lan.

Joke of a remaster. Really expensive for what it is. NFS Hot Pursuit with better graphics. That's it.

NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered is really fun, exactly like the 2010 title was, but i can only call it a Remaster when being extremely generous. The Game is the same and the Graphics are barely enhanced. Like I mentioned this NFS is tons of fun but EA clearly copy pasted this game and only enhanced the graphics a bit.

Verdict: 7/10. NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered is lots of fun, but it only is a

This gorgeous remaster includes all the add-on DLC, a new Garage feature and supports crossplay. Other than that, it's the exact same game as the 2010 reboot. The roster of licensed cars is impressive, but fans of customization will be bummed there is none here. This is a pure arcade-like racing game with five fun multiplayer modes. The campaign is divided into two types; racer and cop challenges. While this is a 10 year old title, it holds up rather nicely. I would rate this with an 8 out of 10. Expand

A remaster that no one needed.

Gameplay is still just as entertaining, but it doesn't take long to go flat — you can really see how games have progressed over the years when playing this. You start to feel like you're doing the same old races over and over. Also, for some reason, you're still unlocking sports cars when you've reached the hypercars towards the end of the game. I

Also, for some reason, you're still unlocking sports cars when you've reached the hypercars towards the end of the game. I wanted to use them but I'd already completed all of those races a long time ago.

Strangely, quirks of the original game are annoyances now that our taste is more sophisticated — rubber-banding is at it's worst in this game which could have easily been changed.

Audio is good, but again, you can tell that games these days have far more recordings and with no new engines notes, this game is starting to show its age. The cars sound good—passable—but no gold star.

Graphics are very good and it's so nice to see a shiny version of the game you loved back in the day, but you can tell the screenshots used to promote this game are from a high-end PC and not what you will get close to even on an Xbox Series X. You feel like you're being conned.

Overall, a very good game that will keep you thoroughly entertained for a few hours, but EA's trademark arrogance has meant that this game misses the mark — it just doesn't live up to what fans deserve from a remaster.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit has aged wonderfully. Ten years have not been enough for this work to begin to show some seams, because both in the playable side and in the design structure of its challenges it is still intact. The remastering work is minimal, only technical, and we miss a greater effort to improve some textures, the fluidity of the images or the models, which do not stand out excessively. Luckily, on the playable level it is still excellent in almost all its sections, the Autolog is a sensational idea and there are always reasons to return: wasted content. Hot Pursuit is back in 2020 to remind us just how good it is.

Despite having high hopes for Hot Pursuit's new remastered version, I found it to be just another mediocre Need for Speed game, using the name of the veteran series, without actually living up to it.

Against all odds (read: some big-name racing games that eventually turned out disappointing), Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is the racing game to get this holiday season. It’s pure video gaming at its best with no extra thrills or frills other than serious pedal to the metal racing. It wisely focuses on what it does best and therefore drives to the finish line as a winner. The remaster doesn’t change the successful formula, only polishes it to meet the modern standards.
