Natsuki Chronicles is a very fun horizontal shoot em up. The length is perfect, graphics very detailed, a lot of weapons to choose an replay the stages. Music is quite nice, pity that there is not an option to put it a bit higher compared to the effects.

I strongly recommend it. If you like Thunderforce style you will enjoy this one.

    The good:
Charismatic Anime-type characters with very well-done animations on their faces. There are some parts of the scenery that are very well animated and full of effects and transparencies. It has Arcade mode where they focus on the action and skip all that dialogue and drama. The shot trajectory marks are very useful and didactic since in high difficulties the game becomes a Bullet

The shot trajectory marks are very useful and didactic since in high difficulties the game becomes a Bullet Hell. The difficulty selector is well implemented (you can't play a stage on a higher difficulty if you haven't completed the same level before but on a lower difficulty). Extensive catalog of weapons to customize your ship, but you must first unlock them and then purchase them with in-game credit earned by playing. 800G following the story and playing.

    The bad:
The 3D is not only basic, what follows (That is if there are some background effects and shots that are impressive with, for example, the force field of the city or the rotations towards the platform in the antepenultimate scenario). Bosses on Hard and Extreme difficulties are way above the scale. Extreme difficulty turns the game into a Bullet Hell. It is not in Xbox Games Pass (it does not need it)

    The Meh!:
Unfortunately the Shoot'Em Up genre is dead or niche. Natzuki's drawing from perspective, it seems that he doesn't have a hand. That games are also bought on Xbox and not only what is on Xbox Game Pass is played (wink, wink)

Natsuki Chronicles: Almost everyone knows the arcade games especially the ones with you controlling a flying war ship and fighting against thousands of enemies. you collecting the upgrades while you playing it, extra bullets missiles lasers etc. But on this one (you collect some while on missions) you make money out of the missions that you've been given than you spending that money to get upgrades on base. I need to say that the game is not easy at all tried to play it on easy level but still so much pain. If you are a real challenger another one comes for you can you make it to end? Well I couldn't yet, I hope you can but another thing must be said about Natsuki Chronicles is the graphics well most of the others have different angle of view such as you are on the
middle bottom of the screen going up ships coming your killing not in this one.
Natsuki Chronicles has quite top notch graphics than the others in its genre. There's still much more to say about it but then it would ruin the fun right? Highly Recommended especially for fans of the SHMUPS..

This is the generic SHUMP game that impresses people that like to say things like 'bro lol im so retro. but those who grew up with these game being the norm know there is much better. The graphics look like a mobile game, gameplay is, well its generic. There not alot of content here because it a SHMUP ,but that hast stopped them from charging top dollar for the game. Simply put one of the best and addictive shmup in years. Really hoping for a physical edition of it, maybe on Switch! I would buy it again for sure.

After a long wait of more than five years, we can finally enjoy the last exclusive to arrive at Xbox One, Natsuki Chronicles, a side-scrolling shoot em up that has managed to become one of the best titles of the genre we have enjoyed in recent years.

Just like Ginga Force and Eschatos, Natsuki Chronicles is a side-scrolling shmup true to the DNA of developer Qute. While it caters towards a wide audience ranging from newcomers to veterans of the genre, the balance between the story-heavy chronicle mode and the more traditional arcade mode isn’t great. There’s some great level design to enjoy here, but Natsuki Chronicles fails to exceed the developer’s previous titles.

It’s a little bit expensive, but it’s one of the best shoot ‘em up we’ve played in many years. It’s aimed at a very specific audience, but we think that audience will definitely enjoy it.
