    The online components of the game held up pretty well throughout my time with the game and any problems were very few and far between. I loved the visual style of the game and when they combined with the good sound design it did make the gameplay become more fun and immersive. I really enjoyed creating my own ninja and that was mainly due to there being quite a lot of customisation I could use when creating my character. The world in which the game takes place in is a little on the small side and this did make traversing around it a little bit tedious.
    There is nothing much at all when it comes to a story and I often found myself getting a little bored because of that. The missions are good at first they do unfortunately get repetetive quite quickly and that did take the fun out of completing them a bit. Does Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker do enough to get a recommendation from me? Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker did stir up a lot of interest within me and that was mainly down to it looking like it was trying to create something different in the series. This something new then does make the game stand out a little bit, but in the end even though the game has quite a bit of fun and enjoyment included it isn’t up there with the best games this series has to offer. The main reason why it isn’t up there with the best of the series is because it doesn’t do enough to keep drawing you in time and time again and I think that’s mainly because the world in which the game takes place in is small and the missions that are in the world get repetetive quite quickly. This however doesn’t make this game a bad game it just means that you get bored too quickly. That being said Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker probably still does just enough to get a small recommendation from me because the online works very well and when in full flow the game is very fun even if it’s only fun in short bursts.    … Expand

    I've got 53 hours put into the game and am currently at level 91. In a nutshell, Shinobi Striker is an incredibly fun game that unfortunately, in it's current state, has a lot of "buts" in the way of that fun.

    What keeps me coming back to it? 1) The intense rock-paper-scissors fight mechanics.     What keeps me coming back to it?
    1) The intense rock-paper-scissors fight mechanics. From macro decisions such as which ninja type to use to help the team, or deciding whether to defend a node in Base Battle or to push to another, to micro decisions such as when to block, dodge, deflect, or use jutsus, it gives you a sense of strategy. It's not complicated but it's deeper than it seems.

    2) So much unlockable content. The locked jutsus from the VR masters double as another progression system on top of the leveling up (I'm actually really not sure what the level up is even for). The jutsus are class specific but working towards unlocking them all requires a not so trivial amount of time. At the moment, I've completed all the Attack type jutsus and am working on the Heal type now. People are complaining so much that there's no Story mode in Shinobi Striker but I understand why. There isn't enough story content from the Boruto story to build on yet and Naruto's story has been done in Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 already. Shinobi Striker is about your own character's story anyway. The critical people aren't seeing the role playing aspect.

    3) Creating your own Naruto character. I dunno... I think it's the rpg nerd within me but I'm still waiting for some cosmetic items to drop for me so that I can complete the look of my reformed Otsutsuki villain.

    Now for the rage-inducing aspects of the game...
    1) Matchmaking time. It takes forever to find enough players for a Ninja World League match.

    2) Matchmaking skill selection. I was getting matched up with B class players while I was still in D class.

    3) Latency. It feels incredibly **** when I'm simply trying to cross the map and I get hit by nasty rubber banding. Or when I use a tracking attack jutsu like the Lightning Blade or Lightning Lariat then suddenly find myself dead. I would rubber band so hard that it would make me fall off the map. Whenever this happens, I just want to throw my controller at the TV...

    4) Loading times. I can go make myself a sandwich with how long it takes for a match to load... I'm on an Xbox One X already and it still takes so much time to load a match.

    5) Getting disconnected from the matchmaking queue. Or worse, getting disconnected during a match. I end up back in front of Shikamaru and have to queue again.

    6) Game crashes. I don't know why or what triggers it. One moment, I'm queuing for a match, the next, I'm back on the Xbox Dashboard. Seems to happen most often during match loading.

    7) This one isn't really the devs fault but... **** teammates who don't know when to just defend. Just to segue, pm me on Xbox Live if you want to set up a premade group for the Ninja World League.

    Despite all these frustrating issues... I still find myself coming back to Shinobi Striker for the sweet KOs and clutch moments. I hope Bandai Namco fixes the issues asap.    … Expand

    I like the game, but I feel as though I have been cheated having payed $60 for it. There is little content, leading me to think DLC should have come free for this one. I would buy only if you're a hardcore Naruto fan.

    I'm not going to lie to you like people giving this game scores that are above average.
    As an avid naruto fan, this game is a slap in the face to the franchise. While the core mechanics are innovative and work well. The game comes off as short and lackluster of content.

    Not only that, the PVP is absolutely worthless in the game's current state. I have no idea why developers feel peer to peer connection is viable in 2018. It's not. Look at For Honor on release, constant disconnects, crashes, bugs, etc. Peer to Peer does NOT work. The multiplayer is good if for some reason you are blessed enough to play a full match- that is if you can even get in a match.

    In my experience with online it goes one of three ways, i get in the game and it works, my game crashes 10 times in a row, OR i get in a game and I disconnect right as we're about to win. Never have I felt so betrayed by a developer that I used to support so heavily when it came to this franchise. At the end of the day I feel robbed. The supposive 4000+ customization items is insanely limited to about 50-100 unique items with a ton of colorations. The game has only been out for a couple of days so I'm not sure if that's it but I feel like I have everything you can achieve since all I get is duplicates out of the scroll system now. There are only FOUR online pvp modes, you can do co-op missions with a team of 4.

    Now reviewers can't necessarily call this their full review. NTB:SS is broken in it's current state. On Xbox it is absolutely unplayable. If you absolutely desire this game like I did, give it some time. Wait for sale or for confirmation from Bandai and the community that the game is fixed. Unbelieveable that we let developers pull stuff like this on us.    … Expand

    Un juego que quiso seguir el método de dragon ball xenoverse, pero que le falto corazón, la franquicia naruto ninja storm, tiene en cada una de las entregas momentos memorables. Pero este juego es un mal DLC

I don’t consider myself hardcore but I like a lot of the Naruto games. This almost seemed like it was the other fighting games that Namco puts out but just puts different franchises over the same engine so I thought maybe this isThis game is a mess. I found this structure of gameplay is really old and not new at all. It seems like micro transactions for a lot of stuff is also locked out. Long story short. This game is more of a chore to play then fun. It really dies seem like your button mashing most of the time and hoping for the best unless the opponents online are over leveled. Unfortunately I can’t recommend buying this game. If you own game pass then give it a try but in the end you’ll be glad you didn’t pay 70$ for thus garbage.… Expand

    Just like Xenoverse, it is nice to create your own character and get in on the action, however the amount of customization and abilities is criminally underwhelming
    I would recommend buying the first season pass and playing the game in one sitting, unfortunately the game is both to long and too large to warrant replay value, however if you are a fan of the series, I would consider playing it with friends, instead of just alone, but I would recommend Storm 4 way more than this    … Expand

    The game is pretty cool but it has some bugs that the game closes out of nowhere when entering the game or in the middle of it, or for some reason even without network problem the game disconnects. Another problem is the skins that are very ugly (most) and that the game is VERY EXPENSIVE and because it has few maps since it is a Battle Royale I believe that for its price ($250) it is notThe game is pretty cool but it has some bugs that the game closes out of nowhere when entering the game or in the middle of it, or for some reason even without network problem the game disconnects.     Shinobi Striker could have had some decent material if the combat and camera wasn’t so clunky. The issue is that because of this mixed with the overly dull mission structure and chaotic multiplayer makes for just a bad experience overall. If only there was some redeeming quality to it, I would suggest it to maybe hardcore Naruto fans, but aside from the visuals looking pretty good, that’s all I can say. My time with Shinobi Striker was a boring, frustrating grind that I really don’t think is worth your time. Even for the hardcore Naruto fans, I would say at least wait for a major price drop.

    Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker takes a risk by venturing into the online battling arena genre and it doesn’t pay off. Putting aside the technical issues for a minute, and to be fair there could be a good experience here, but even then the combat and movement is difficult to master.

    Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker finally achieves its goal of catching the player, especially if you are a Naruto fan, by being a really fun video game. Its combat system, although quite simple, will always want you to execute a strategy coordinating with your team.
