One importantAs the third game in the franchise, NSUNS 3 does not disappoint. The gameplay feels as smooth and as fluent as it has ever been. One important addition is the substitution bar. A player is limited to 4 subs until their bar regenerates. In contrast to the first two games, this change results in a greater level of thinking regarding the usage of these integral subs. The roster is immense, but somehow every character remains unique, many having multiple costumes and/or versions. Some of the stages include a new ring out mechanic that, if used, will cause an automatic win for the player that knocked the other out. This can be cheap at times, but it presents a fresh win condition. There are the most modes there has ever been as well. The most prevalent being the story mode. The fantastically animated cutscenes with glorious QTE's remain. There are more path options and a new battle style. My main gripe is that the overworld is not engaging enough to work towards completion. It's exausting. Expand
