My Big Sister is about telling a profoundly memorable story, and doing so via a puzzle-adventure vehicle which is just as enjoyable. There is a nice meld of story development and puzzle solving which helps My Big Sister feel like more of a video game than most narrative-focused adventure games.

Despite its interesting introduction, My Big Sister falls flat on all fronts. The game seems to be too confused with what it wants to be, and who it wants to appeal to. Whilst the game’s story is mature and tackles some very sensitive subjects, it gets too caught up in its own web of convoluted concepts. On top of that, the gameplay completely lacks mechanical depth, comes with no real difficulty, and is further hamstrung by several irritating bugs.

Ratalaika Games has released a plethora of games for the Xbox community to enjoy over the last several months. Most of their games are fun and enjoyable with achievement hunter rejoicing in boosting their gamerscores. and this meant that you could "complete" most of them in a short amount of time. My Big Sister breaks this mold because it definitely has more meat and potatoes to the table and in a way it does make you work for your achievements. while talking you on a memorable journey in the process. The reason this game is more memorable than several of their other offerings is due to its story telling. It features a story that has a number of different emotions wrapped around it and this means that it keeps you invested from the beginning to the end, even if you do in fact get "stuck" on occasion. My Big Sister's art style and sound design enhanced the story even further because they both do a nice job of creating a the ever so creepy atmosphere present in My Big Sister. The gameplay doesn't have a huge amount of depth, but that doesn’t hold the game back because it features some nice puzzles and the level design and the different items you can click during your journey fill the gap. My Big Sister has a lot going for it and you definitely get good value for your money because it has a solid amount of content and multiple endings to keep you playing once you've finished the game for the 1st time. It also has very few technical problems which makes My Big Sister a worth addition to your Xbox One library and another great offering from Ratalaika Games for the Xbox One community. Expand
