Mushroom Quest is a box pushing puzzle game. There is no story, you're a Mushroom, and for some reason, you have to get out of here... I guess... That aside, the game is short. 30 stages and most don't even pose a challenge. The first several stages of the game are seemingly meant as tutorials to help introduce the player to the already straight forward concepts. Place boxes on switches to hold them down, push them into holes to fill them, and collect the green gems. That's it. Mushroom Quest aspires to feel The Adventures of LOLO or other old school box puzzle games. At least LOLO had a story, and enemies to challenge you. Mushroom Quest doesn't feel like much effort was put anywhere but the sprites, which are clean and look decent. Mushroom Quest isn't high on my recommendations list unless you're looking for a time killer for a young player. Expand

With Mushroom Quest on Xbox One, we have a game that is far too easy, far too limited and far too short. There’s no replayability. And you’ll end up only getting an hour of gameplay out of it, if that.
