There’s a surprising amount of content present for you to get to grips with and this content has enough variety to keep things fresh for the most part.
The level design in the game has been done well and I was impressed by how the developer has made each level feel completely different. Technically the game held up really well from start to finish and most important of all the controls felt tight and responsive from start to finish as well. You do come across some frustrating moments due to the game’s high difficulty every now and then. While the story can be funny at times there just isn’t enough of it so you tend to forget about the adventure you’re going on because of this. It can get repetitive quite quickly so I would recommend that you play the game in short bursts. Sometimes the title of a game stands out that much that it draws you in and makes you want to play it, and that’s exactly what Mulletman and the Moleman did for me. I’ll admit to you now that I didn’t know anything about this game before playing it so I went into playing this game completely blind, and in some ways I’m glad I did. The reason I’m glad is because sometimes a game surprises you if you have know previous knowledge and this is exactly what this game did. At it’s core Mulletman and the Moleman is a side-scroller and even though the difficulty curve can be a little problematic at times if you die you only have yourself to blame because the controls have been implemented extremely well. Another thing that’s been done extremely well is the level design and the variety within each level definitely made me want to carry on despite it getting repetetive quite quickly. Another thing that made me want to carry on was the presentation side of the game. From level to level the game screams retro in both the visuals and sound design and for me this did give the game quite a bit of charm. At the end of the day then whilst this game may not be for everybody I urge anybody who likes side-scrolling platformers to get this because it has a uniqueness that makes it more fun and for the price you can do a lot worse than Mulletman and the Moleman. Worth the price of admission.… Expand
