    I’m finding it hard to fault Milestone for what they’ve produced with MotoGP 20 on Xbox One. With multiple game modes, a career which is as deep and immersive as you want it to be, and an online offering which has so far worked flawlessly, there has hardly been a wheel misplaced in the development of this latest racer.

    MotoGP 20 further improves on the already good 2019 game with a more satisfying Career mode, renewed Historical Challenges and and great gameplay and technical production. There's still much space for improvements and we feel Milestone might dare more with new things, but it'll undoubtedly be a satisfying game for all fans of the genre.

    MotoGP 20 is the next step in the series. With new options in the career mode, it'll offer the experience that fans of MotoGP deserves. The Historic Riders game mode is a good option for quick races, and nice support to eSports and multiplayer.

    With smarter opponents, improved physics and an enhanced career mode, Moto GP 20 is a step up from last year’s successful version in most ways. Unfortunately, a couple of odd bugs have been added, while the MotoE class and junior cup (temporarily?) are removed. But despite a few missteps, Moto GP 20 is the best motorcycle racing game on the market and an excellent complement to regular car racing games.

    In this most unusual of years MotoGP 20 has arrived at just the right time for motorcycle racing fans with a long, deep career mode, a ton of challenge and customizations galore.

    MotoGP 20 is undoubtedly the best MotoGP game yet. Not everyone will be on board with some of the changes made to its core modes, though. There’s room for the managerial features of the career mode to be refined and expanded upon in the next iteration, and opponent AI could still do with a bit of work, but they do little to sully the racing experience provided this year. Needless to say, if you’re a fan of the sport or after a bike racing game that ties itself to tracks rather than open roads, MotoGP 20 is highly recommended.

    MotoGP 20 continues on the good path of real evolution that Milestone has been in the process for a couple of years. The career mode has gained in depth and possibilities.

    MotoGP 20 is quite similar in structure to Codemasters’ F1 games, but it’s a more coherent and exciting experience. Be prepared to put in a lot of work to tune the bike to get best out of it and perform well on the track. That’s the simple recipe for success, no slacking is allowed at any point! After all, you have better chances of winning when starting from a pole position instead of back of the grid, so all those laps you spent on free practices will pay off. Despite some presentation issues and the lack of true motive to race other modes outside the career, MotoGP 20’s tight gameplay keeps things consistently interesting and turns it into an addictive and rewarding racing simulation that no virtual speed freak should be without.

    While MotoGP 20 will be challenging for novices, it’s still accessible with its assists and options to make it possible to still be competitive in races eventually, though it will take quite a few hours to get to the point of actually winning as there’s not much in ways of a tutorial to ease you into the gameplay. For vets and MotoGP fans, there’s enough here to keep you challenged and tons of new additions that should appease you for another year until the next season starts.

Yes Milestone can take the franchise even further after a strong MotoGP 19. The proof is definitely apparent in my time with the game. While the MotoGP season has been delayed. The cancellation of the Qatar GP has meant that this game has been released before the riders have even turned a wheel. You can choose to start your motorcycle career in either MotoGP, Moto2 or Moto3. This will allow those already familiar with the game to jump in at the top level and less experienced players to begin at a lower level. I would encourage all players to start at the very bottom and rise to the top, as the challenge and reward feels most excellent in doing so. I would get preoccupied with little details for hours and time just flew as the experience of Milestones latest creation drew me in. The customization options for your rider are basic but solid and choosing which riding style you wish to use is a welcome feature as well. As the team manager, you dictate which direction the team heads in terms of research and development along the season. Your agent will also recommend new staff as you progress through the lengthy career mode. Like a manager, you need to balance the quality that’s at your disposal with the cost of having better staff on the payroll. This adds another layer to what is becoming one of the best career modes in its genre. Team Management is one of the largest fresh inclusions for this year’s game and even at Moto3's entry level, its' crucial for how your team evolves. As expected in the official MotoGP game, the full calendar and testing are included in Career Mode, despite the interruptions to the actual sports season. Neural A.I. was a big improvement for MotoGP 19 and 2.0 has been introduced for this year’s game. Extreme realism has been implemented as well, with more accurate depictions of tires and fuel consumption. You can now see the specific wear for both shoulders and the tread, as well as temperatures. On the graphics front, the bikes look, sound and feel as good as ever. The menus are easy on the eye and readily navigable. I found myself playing with the photo mode for quite some time and was able to create some amazing images on the Xbox One. I would like to see maybe some of the filters of the photo option made available for use during gameplay by Milestone in a future title. The Historical mode has huge potential, as MotoGP fans will be looking to re-live their favorite moments from the series’ history. There’s plenty of scenarios to have a go at and racing them is genuinely fun, just like career mode races are. You get a description of the background for the race but it’s a very bare bones event without archive footage, cutscenes, etc so it feels exactly like a career mode race but with old bikes. Historical content does affect other areas of the game, though. With each completed challenge, you gain points which can be spent purchasing old riders, teams and bikes to be used in time trial and quick races. The harder the difficulty you opt for, the more you can attain. More content will need to be added in the future to keep this mode moving in the right direction and provide it improved replay-ablity. Milestone have maintained the core virtues of the MotoGP series on the Xbox One, but still have a long journey ahead with a new generation of gaming in the Xbox Series X releasing holiday 2020. 2021 could very well be a huge year for the Italian developer with so much horsepower under the console’s hood.… Full Review »

    This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. So many annoying or frustrating Issues and Bugs. This game is nowhere near simulation.

    Starting with Career Mode:

    - In Moto3, AI Bikes are much faster on straights no matter what Gear Ratio I used.
    - Moto2: The Bikes constantly Wheelies out of Corners up into 3rd Gear. Even with Anti-Wheelie set to the highest level. No difference with changes to the Gear Ratio.

    Haven't played Career up to MotoGP cause the issues in Moto2 destroys the whole Mode. No fun at all.

    AI Balance Issues and constantly crashing into you.

    Controller Input Issues: If you press the Trigger for acceleration for example, there is no chance to smoothly accelerate out of a corner. Seems as if it's actually not analog Input. I'm able to keep the acceleration steady at 50% but if you carefully push a bit harder, the recognized input will jump from 50% to nearly 100%.

    Me personally, I would demand a full refund but due to the time played (after some patches, to check If the game is playable after the Update), I think MS won't allow it.

    I won't recommend this game to anyone who wants some simulation Style racing. It's a complete waste of time and money.    … Full Review »

    Décidément, les MotoGP se suivent mais ne se ressemblent pas forcément… pour le meilleur ou surtout… pour le pire ! ainsi, cette édition 2020,Décidément, les MotoGP se suivent mais ne se ressemblent pas forcément… pour le meilleur ou surtout… pour le pire ! ainsi, cette édition 2020, graphismes mis à part (c’est la stagnation à cet égard mais le mode 60 im/s fonctionne toujours) est en retrait sur tous les plans par rapport à la mouture 2019 !

    L’IA n’a d’intelligence que le nom et son caractère très artificiel n’a d’égal que sa bêtise : ils vous rentrent dedans et/ou vous font tomber systématiquement ou presque, vous n’existez tout simplement pas pour ces bourrins et ces débiles sur la piste !… La maniabilité est également en retrait alors que la difficulté (celle des concurrents) a été revue étrangement à la hausse, on se demande bien pourquoi… (c’est pour le grind mais je vais y revenir).

    Bizarrement, même en « mode assisté », on chute étonnamment souvent… parce que l’ABS n’est plus géré correctement et que la roue avant se barre direct, dès le premier freinage un peu trop juste. Les collisions sont également en retrait, pour ne pas dire foirées, ceci conjugué à l’IA déficiente expliquant cette foire à la gamelle involontaire.

    Enfin, on constate avec horreur que le mode carrière encore plus… perfectible qu’auparavant nécessite un grind lamentable : voici le DLC à la Ubichiottes qui multiplie l’expérience acquise par deux ! c’est « seulement » 5 euros (!) chez Milestone (au lieu de 10 chez les AssGrind Creed !) mais où va le monde… si même Milestone s’y met ! d’autant que la durée minimale des courses est désormais de 25%… minimum, ce qui nous fait donc en règle générale entre 5 et 6 tours au lieu de 3 ! Mais putain, vafanculo, MotoGP 20 de mes deux !    … Full Review »
