The Mosaic is a narrative-driven experience in the modern macabre. You are another drone in the heartless expanse of the corporate-driven industry. Every day is the same droll experience, it starts the same and ends the same. One day everything changes when you finish brushing your teeth and there's a goldfish, and it talks to you. It requests to tag along, and from there, the change begins. You begin to take new paths to work, an deviate your boring routine. To avoid spoiling anything else, let's just say it starts to get a bit trippy. The gameplay is simply controlling your character as they drag themselves along to work and back, and operating the computer program at work. The programs mini-game is expanding a network to make extractions, with an increasing end goal every day. As the program progresses you will begin to encounter threats, that you have to quarantine to continue. The Story drives the game along until your character reaches their final epiphany. While Mosaic is on the short side, what’s there is done really rather well. It get’s the message across well, not overstaying it’s welcome or labouring on a point. If you’re in the mood for a one and done experience of an evening, Mosaic will fit the bill nicely.

The Mosaic means to me that you can paint your own picture based on what you choose. If you choose to stay in your bubble, not taking chances or try anything new, you'll never grow and you'll stay miserable. If you choose to embrace what's around you, a whole other world opens up. With the glitches, UI issues and visuals aside, Krillbite Studios did well. The Mosaic is easily a game you need to try out and experience. As much as I want to keep playing Blip Blop, there's a whole world out there. Time to put the phone away for a while and do something different for a change.

While Mosaic is a good game, it’s hard to describe it as enjoyable due to its subject matter. It has the possibility to hit a bit too close home for some, but the overall message once you hit the end might be worth it. It is by no means a bad game, just very heavy handed when it comes to its subject matter.
