    Minit goes to show what a capable developer can do with such a small canvas. This game isn’t going to be for everyone, but those that enjoy quirky adventures should certainly have this on their radar. The minute mechanic, grouped with the solid world design and interesting progression structure, collectively amounts to a worthwhile trek, if indeed a short one.

    Minit lives and dies by the time-constraining gimmick it possesses. The constant specter of death makes the short quest feel like an epic adventure, but the game as a whole doesn't rise above being more than a curious novelty.

    I always worry when indie game’s try and do too much at the same time because if they have an interesting idea then this gets lost in all theI always worry when indie game’s try and do too much at the same time because if they have an interesting idea then this gets lost in all the different elements that are in play and unfortunately that’s all you remember. Minit however is very different because each different element shines bright in this game and that’s because a lot of thought and effort has gone into each mechanic and this without a doubt gives the game a very unique edge to it. I’m not exaggerating when I say that each mechanic is pretty much flawless and the best thing is that they keep the frustration levels down to a minimum. They do this by having a great learning curve in place and they ease you into the levels extremely well so frustration isn’t really an issue, which is great. The levels in the game are all over pretty quickly and I think the minute idea has been implemented really well. I would however have liked the opportunity to go at my own pace at times though because the world in which the game takes place is packed full of charm. This really surprised me because I didn’t expect the world to feel so alive and I certainly didn’t expect the characters to be so charming and quirky. Another thing that really impressed me about the game were the puzzles that have been implemented throughout. These puzzles require a little bit of thought every now and then and the time-limit adds to the excitement of completing them, which is great. The combat is also very good and does a great job of keeping things fresh so boredom never rears its ugly head when attempting to complete the levels that are on offer. In terms of content the game is unfortunately not blessed with a huge amount and this is a shame because the content that is present is so good so some more content would have been awesome, but there is just enough to keep you satisfied so it isn’t really a major problem. If you like a minamilist and straight to the point presentation style then you will love this game. The visuals and sound design don’t do anything special but they don’t need to because what’s on offer here does more than enough to enhance the already very good gameplay. At the end of the day to say I enjoyed my time with Minit would be a massive understatement. They’ve managed to create an experience that’s both fun and enjoyable and at the same time they’ve added a real sense of reward once you complete a level. There isn’t really anything wrong with this game and when it’s all said and done it gets a massive recommendation from me because they’ve been daring in their approach and it ultimately pays off.… Full Review »

    The good:

    Role-playing game and adventures that you control a character who, when taking a "cursed" sword, now has 60 seconds to do something before dying and being reborn in your house, for which he has to get rid of that "curse". The game is very intriguing. It takes its aesthetic from The Legend of Zelda 1 (NES) and The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening. New game + (Second round more difficult, just with one touch you die and the enemies are twice as powerful and the objects are moved). Many easy achievements. After finishing it the first time you start a second attempt with only one heart, 45 seconds and it opens the different mode called Mary with more changes. The final boss is challenging.

    The bad:
    The game is very short and cryptic. There are achievements that you would not know how to do without a guide. The next 10/15/2020 comes out of the game Pass. Once the game is finished and the achievement is taken, it only remains to look for the creepy pasta or the urban myths but nothing else. The final boss is more of a game of Ships/Shump or Bullet Hell (Shot'em Up)

    The Meh!:
    Short and cryptic game. If you hate black and white only indie games on Pixel that emulate Gameboy games or old consoles, you are going to hate it. It's in the middle of the list of the best 100 games of the decade    … Full Review »

    Mais qu'est-ce que c'est que ça... un jeu (?!) ça, t'es sérieux ?... un truc à "concepts" à la mode (plus con que cept mais soit...) tels queMais qu'est-ce que c'est que ça... un jeu (?!) ça, t'es sérieux ?... un truc à "concepts" à la mode (plus con que cept mais soit...) tels que le "meurs et recommence" et le "rogue-like" intraduisible mais qui implique le même résultat que le con-cept précédent...

    Par ailleurs, le pixel lard est ici poussé ou plutôt chié à l'extrême dans cette sous-chiasse qui se prétend "jeu vidéo" mais qui n'est pas "jeu" et encore moins "vidéo"... c'est en effet en deux couleurs... record battu ! le prochain sera en une couleur unique, ce ne sera pas vraiment jouable mais du moment qu'un ou deux blaireaux y viendront se répandre en quelques phrases creuses, juste après avoir "joué" (?) ça "marchera"...

    Un peu finalement ou un peu beaucoup même comme l'art, lard très con-temporain, lard moderne fait de bric et de broc, de brocante et de sacs poubelle et des poubelles elles-mêmes, odes à la connerie sans limite, la connerie infinie de nos cons temporains.    … Full Review »
