Tonally, the episode is all over the place, though that’s to be expected with the Guardians. At times it’s quite serious and a bit depressing, but then there are moments of joy and some genuinely laugh-out-loud gags. As the series moves on, it’s obvious that the relationships within the team are really becoming strained. Like a family, however, they stick together when the going gets tough. But who knows how long that will last.

Episode 3: More than a Feeling is another welcome addition to one of Telltale’s more promising works. While failing to stay on the same level of narrative importance as its prior installment, Episode 3 is a fun and enjoyable entry in this surprisingly great adaptation of a much beloved series.

Telltale continues to do some fun things with these familiar comic-book heroes, especially in fleshing out character backgrounds in compelling ways. More Than A Feeling wraps up the initial conflict, and lays out a new one to carry us into subsequent episodes. If this installment fails to dramatically up the tension, at least it maintains a solid storytelling pace, and fans of the galaxy’s most loveable space misfits should continue to find moments of fun.

More than a feeling offers more of the same and although telling the background story of Gamora and Nebula is really appealing, continuing down this road may very well ruin the future episodes.

The choices you made in Telltale Guardians of the Galaxy are finally making an impact on the galaxy and features a great action sequence. It's a shame the episode is pestered with technical problems, which has its effect on the way you play.

I've got more than a feeling that this is just a minor blip for the series.

Episode 3: More Than A Feeling isn't Telltale's best work. The pacing is poor and the dialogue is a repeat of emotions you've already seen in prior episodes. At least we get an interesting look into Gamora and Nebula's past with Thanos, their now-deceased father. There's also an impactful decision requiring your attention at the end of the episode. Once the whole series is released, Episode 3 won't be memorably bad, but when you've been waiting months to progress Guardians' story, it's a short and disappointing installment at best.

While More Than A Feeling at least gives Telltale's fledgling series direction, the surprisingly brisk length and game-breaking bugs place it among the studio's lesser efforts.
