    I have found Mars Power Industries Deluxe to be both compelling and interesting to play. There are moments where I found things a bit too simple and the gameplay fast gets too familiar, but then the game turns itself on its head and starts to push the boundaries of what it's trying to be. There is a lot of game here for the amazingly cheap price, and I love the way it creates a strange narrative through its bare minimal, wordless, visuals.

As the title would imply, the game is set entirely on Mars in an established human based colony. It is up to you to provide the different houses and facilities with the resources they need, like electricity and water. Every level signifies a year within the colony, so we do gradually get to find out eventually what happened thanks to the occasional yet short cutscenes in-between levels. Some of the best puzzle games have simple mechanics and that is true of Mars Power Industries. What makes it a solid game is all the attention to detail that goes on around those core game mechanics to make it an enjoyable and immersive experience. Mars Power Industries Deluxe is the perfect example of a small game, build and designed properly. It draws you in with simple to understand game mechanics, feels fair, somewhat rewarding, and provides plenty of entertainment. Its difficulty curve is spot ones well and doesn't press any frustration buttons.
