It goes without saying though that Mark McMorris Infinite Air by HB Studios offers an incredible amount of replay value through its World Editor, but outside of that you will most likely struggle to find the same type of enjoyment in the other areas of this game.

Infinite Air is a major letdown, broken at launch and still having minor frame rate issues after title updates. All that's left is a mixture between an overpriced bad simulator and a hard arcade snowboarding game. All things considered, hardcore fans may be pleased with this title, not because of how good it is, but as I said, due to the lack of snowboarding games currently on the market. Here's hoping Steep lives up to the hype.

Infinite Air is the epitome of an OK game. Nothing stands out, and the fun to be had is minimal. Also at the $50 price point it is hard to recommend to anyone, especially with Snow being free-to-play, and Steep just around the corner. It feels like the start of the genre and not the ultimate entry it so desperately wants to be.

There's also a great level editor with unlimited potential and people have already started sharing their maps. I would recommend everyone who loves snowboarding. Full Review »

    - take ridiculous jump at 80 mph, set world records for air-time, spins, and flips simultaneously

    - hit outcropping of rock and watch carcass hurl helplessly down the rest of the mountain... at 80 mph

11/10 , would simulate the greatest snowboarding death of all time again

So far the most enjoyable snowboard sim to be released IMO. However, this all depends on what you will be looking for the game to provide. ForSo far the most enjoyable snowboard sim to be released IMO. However, this all depends on what you will be looking for the game to provide. For those who are arcade style fans, this game will most likely not be for you.

As others have mentioned, there is a learning curve involved that requires a lot of practice and patience. Unfortunately in this age of instant gratification, there seems to be a large crowd who will claim the controls to be broken and not worth it. When was the last time you were able to pull off a clean backside 540 mute with only one run under your belt in real life? This form of session and practice is what the devs were going for in this game, so recognize diligence is where the reward is here.

In saying that, there is some unrealistic ways your rider can spin and torque. This will anger the purists out there, but on the flipside recognize that the devs are doing the best they can to tailor to a full community of players. There will be those who simply want to huck themselves off of a cliff and have a chance of landing something that would otherwise kill you in real life. This is a delicate balance but one where the controls in game give you the freedom to ride how you would like. Don't want to throw a ridiculous 2800 quad cork? Then ease up on the time you hold the triggers and you'll throw down a smooth 900.

Graphical fit and polish is decent but not mind blowing. Let's remember that this is not a AAA title and there are budgets that exist out there. The fact that HB was able to hit the game physics as well as they have deserves kudos. There is a mountain editor within game that should really excite those with creative minds. It allows for a lot of options within reason to create runs and parks you dream of in real life. I would love to see a bit more rider/gear customization in game but the devs have stated they hope to add more going forward.

Which brings me to my final point. The devs have been incredibly involved with the community and have actively been engaging in pertinent conversations regarding game content. This to me shows a passion for their creation and a willingness to create the best version of Infinite Air as possible. Again, possible being the key word here. Money nor time grows on trees so there will be limitations to what they can provide. Let us respect that as a gaming and rider community.

For those who have the patience and enjoy putting in work for the sake of reward, I believe you will enjoy this game. If you have a background in snowboarding, I believe you will enjoy this game. If you can look at the development of a first iteration game considering all things, I believe you will enjoy this game. For $50, I would say support a largely realistic snowboard sim from a developer who has shown the humble capacity to listen and provide. Happy shredding!
