There is however a few problems that can harm the game’s enjoyability and one of the problems is just unacceptable in a game like this. The problem I’m talking about is the controls. Unfortunately the controls can feel awkward at times and the biggest sin is that they don’t always feel responsive, which is extremely frustrating. What Maria the Witch does well though is that it makes itself accessible to all gamers and there is a decent amount of content for you to sink your teeth into. There are quite a few levels for you to play and they’ve done a good job of making each level have some variety. They also do a good job of teaching the mechanics to you and these added tutorials are something that I was very appreciative of. If you don’t like a challenge then it’s probably best to avoid this game, but I actually quite liked the challenge because in order to get the perfect level you have to do a number of things which in turn gives the game some replay value. I did however get frustrated with having to restart a level because when you die it seems like forever before you start the level again, so you just end up becoming more and more annoyed. The presentation side of the game is very simple, but at the same time it’s effective. The cartoony aesthetic in the game makes the game stand out, and the sound design whilst not amazing is pleasant and doesn’t annoy, which is great. At the end of the day Maria the Witch is one of them game’s that’s perfect for passing a bit of time every now and then. It’s also a game that can be enjoyed by gamers of all ages, but without a doubt I can see the frustration the game gives you at times to be a major put off for some people. It does have a few problems here and there, but it does just enough to get a recommendation from me and the price of the game is very reasonable as well.… Expand
