You're to Compose a counter song, the Siren's Song, an evil song broken into four parts, of which you must find first. The gameplay is lost between a Puzzle game and Horror Survival, as you have to figure out the environment to continue. You have limited ability to fight back when you're discovered, so stealth is you're the best approach. There is even an achievement to collect for never using the only weapon you're given. Being discovered isn't always the end, as where you actually have your health to worry about. Most of the enemies begin attacking you and there are ways to escape. The game has multiple endings to discover, so there is replayability, not to mention the completionist achievements. Not quite steeped in the horror of jumpscares and hopelessness, Maid of Sker saturates you in the ambiance of the setting steeping the darkness and keeping the mood darker. Maid of Sker was an experience that should be had by most Horror fans, but don't be disappointed when you don't wet your pants, the fear is deeper here.… Expand

    Its a straightforward but intriguing enough set up. Go to a spooky place in the middle of nowhere, because someone our nameless, characterless protagonist cares about, told us so, and the predictability continues on from there. The weird key to weird lock dynamic from Resident Evil is satisfying, the level design overall is pretty good, but the gameplay itself is tedious not scary. EnemiesIts a straightforward but intriguing enough set up. Enemies are incredibly easy to avoid, so its simply a case of walking around really slowly in the dark, completing the same multi-lock puzzle mechanic repeatedly. Every now and then a loud sound would emanate from my TV, as if something scary had happened. I always either missed it, or the sound itself was the scare. I would say that the voice acting from the desperate lover our protagonist is persisting towards, was convincing enough to keep me invested. However, its a good job the game isn't much longer than it is, otherwise I'd have just given up out of boredom before the end.… Expand

    Horror fans this is one you can't miss. Just a really scary story, and experience you will never forget. I can't stop playing it, I think most horror fans will feel the same way.

    Maid Of Sker is a thrilling, terrifying and really good horror survival game. At first it reminded me of the lousy horror walking simulation Agony, but fortunately I was wrong. The visuals and setting are stunning and the atmosphere and story are convincing. Only the save system and the vague controls dampen the great experience. Good terror!

    Puessss me ha gustado, es un juego corto, 3 o 4 horas me he terminado en pasármelo, es un juego que no quiere ser mas o se cree mas de lo que es, simplemente un buen juego de miedo, con buenas ideas, y no mucho mas, no destaca en nada especialmente y no tiene fallos grandes, un buen juego sin mas.

    Good game, nice take on creepy AA , great suspense with very effective use of sound, near perfect setting and atmosphere, gloomy but not stupidly dark like many other games in this area, recommended.

    For such a short game, the time seems to run in slow motion as you sneak around. There is no problem at all with the game’s length. Instead, the real struggle is with a lackluster story and movements. Besides these issues, everything else is brilliant. From the stress of being quiet to the chase scenes that leave you needing to take a small break in the comfort of a safe area. It feels like forever since I have played a good stealth game, and now I can say the counter has reset. The uneasiness of walking around the hotel with random jump scares and nerve-wracking sounds is quite remarkable. It’s also very replayable, with two different endings as well as lots of things to collect around the hotel. There are even achievements for completing it without getting hit and without saving. This is an all-around great title to own, especially for horror fans.
