Sep 27, 2015I did enjoy my time with Magnetic Cage Closed, and some of the physics puzzles did have me pondering for a few seconds, but the greatest feeling I came away with was the desire to play Portal again, which, in its own way, is probably one of the best kind of back-handed compliments I could possibly give.

Sep 23, 2015Magnetic: Cage Closed isn't an amazing game but it isn't terrible either. It's a decent puzzler which fans of the genre should enjoy and is a good puzzler for the Xbox One. If you love these types of games, I would say go for it, but for those who aren't, it's nothing really that you need to check out.

Sep 10, 2015Not a bad puzzle FPS, but it will constantly remind you to Portal, a far better game than this one.
-
Sep 3, 2015Magnetic works best as a platformer, which may be disappointing for those who wanted intermediate to advanced puzzling.
-
Sep 1, 2015All in all, the game is a novel way to pass an afternoon but is unlikely to have you clamouring for more.

Official Xbox Magazine UKOct 6, 2015For every one success, there are four other times when the game gets it wrong through fault of your own, and you end up drowning in toxic guff. Which, coincidentally, is exactly what this game is. [Nov 2015, p.87]

Sep 29, 2015Magnetic: Cage Closed is a generic puzzler with an uninspired premise, which is only compounded by a second-rate story and laughable voice acting.
