Game is very difficult to master and gets frustrating fast. You basiclly have to memorize all the courses or you have no chance. This is not a casual game.

I'll try to be fair. The game is absolutely stellar if you're into purely sports games that reward delicate skill and a good amount of work to master them. However for the people that are mostly in for the fun and the exploration it is not their cup of tea because within a few minutes the exploration part of each level is done so roughly speaking the game is 80 to 90% purely e-sports skill based.

One of a select few games where you'll find just as much fun ramming headfirst into the same rock 300 times as speed running a course first try. It's only a shame that it becomes dry within the first 5 hours and overstays its welcome if you're looking to go for 100%. For those first few hours though you'll be hard pressed to find a more addictive indie game out there. Expand

Lonely Mountains: Downhill is a beautiful marriage of aesthetics and gameplay. It has the makings of a minor classic.

Lonely Mountains: Downhill has great core gameplay, but it's light on content and its progression forces players to deal with a lot of repetition. The game looks great, sounds great, and controls great (with a controller, anyway), so hopefully the developers get the opportunity to expand on it in a sequel.
