Dec 30, 2013I reviewed this on the Xbox One and, in hindsight, LocoCycle would probably be a better Xbox 360 title. It certainly doesn’t show off any next-gen prowess, so don’t buy this game to show off your new hardware.
-
Nov 18, 2013While the specs look alright on paper, the dodging and shooting almost completely lack precision and the sloppy bike-fu loses its punch when you realize you can get away with mashing all the buttons at once to propel your combo counter into the thousands.
-
Dec 3, 2013Driving at insane speeds on a wise cracking sentient motorcycle should be gaming nirvana, but the writing, mechanics, and design of Lococycle are subpar. It’s not worth the price of admission, and is one of the Xbox One’s weaker launch titles.
-
Dec 3, 2013If you’re looking for another game to squeeze your brand new Xbox One this is not your lucky day. You better search somewhere else.

Nov 25, 2013Even looking fantastic wouldn’t save how inane, silly and not fun Twisted Pixel’s latest effort is. A generic voice and personality for IRIS, a weird twist in the form of Pablo, and tired vehicular combat do not make for a fantastic Xbox One debut.
-
Nov 20, 2013The story and writing are abysmal, with cutscenes full of racist, unfunny crap. Twisted Pixel can do so much better than this.
-
Nov 19, 2013The basic premise is interesting and it has its funny moments, but LocoCycle is unable to offer any interesting gameplay mechanics worthy of your time.
-
Nov 18, 2013Pablo and I.R.I.S., the main protagonists in LocoCycle, represent what this game brings to Xbox One: a classic beat'em up gameplay with a poor graphical style which will work better in mobile and tablet formats.
-
Nov 18, 2013The implementation is rushed and slipshod, however, ignoring fundamental problems and expending limited energy on the wrong things. What you're getting for your money feels a little like somebody else's office in-joke: you can sense the well-intentioned laughter, but you can't really join in.
-
Dec 2, 2013Now, it’s relatively short, and completing each section awards a hefty 75 achievement points, which might be enough to compel some Gamerscore-whores to stick with it. But it’s ultimately a tedious slog with not enough self-awareness to make each snappy interaction in any way rewarding.
-
Dec 2, 2013Crazy idea but poor execution, that about sums LocoCycle. This mix of racing and beat'em all has a lot of humor... but not much more.
-
Nov 26, 2013LocoCycle is a next-gen debut that’s uncomfortable to watch and boring to play from a developer I honestly expect better of. That it isn’t outright broken or unplayable from a technical perspective is just about the only accolade I can muster for what has otherwise been a miserable first experience on the Xbox One.
-
Nov 20, 2013With its shallow gameplay, lazy design, and unfunny writing, I can only hope that Twisted Pixel intentionally set out to create a bad game--one that could be celebrated in the way that terrible films can. If so, LocoCycle is a huge success; it is miserable.
-
Nov 18, 2013As I caught a glimpse of the one and only, the legendary and immortal Tom Savini in this, I cried a little, and those weren't tears of joy. That was three minutes into the intro and it was all downhill from there.
-
Nov 18, 2013Maybe one day hordes of fans will gather in local arcades to play LocoCycle ironically and quote some of its notoriously terrible lines – Mi espalda! – but until that day, it's just a bad game, and there's nothing funny about that.

-
Dec 17, 2013Lococycle is boring, ugly and not funny in any way. This is the worst launch game the Xbox One has to offer.
-
Dec 9, 2013There are so many elements of Lococycle that don’t work well, or that are just plain boring, it is hard to see how the game could have been released on Xbox One.
-
Nov 20, 2013It’s almost impressive that the bottom of the barrel has been established this early on in the Xbox One’s career, but that’s the only achievement of note for this wretchedly awful racer.
-
Nov 18, 2013It’s tempting to believe that Microsoft and Twisted Pixel set out to create some kind of meta-joke here, but the line between a successful and unsuccessful parody can be a fine one. All Lococycle achieves is falling on its face, while no one laughs.
-
Dec 3, 2013LocoCycle is a true turd, one of those games that shouldn't even exists and meanwhile makes the achievement of ripping gamers of 20 euros. Closer to a PS2 game in its graphics, the game is boring, scripted to the max, very short, repetitive and with gameplay that limits itself to spamming three buttons and doing a few QTE when asked. Only a few jokes will make the gamers abused by the ads smile, but the smile will quickly fade away as the scenario unfolds. A new milestone in the hall of shame of videogames has been set on the back of an Xbox One that really did not need that for its launch period.
