    This game is extremely simple, and a very fun couple of hours. The artistic part of the game is limited by the inability to tell much of a story, which is only a negative because they attempt to do it despite not having the resources to do so. The ending was quite unsatisfying, though it was definitely the climax of their artistic style. The puzzles have some decent complexity, and new concepts are introduced at consistent pace and feel very natural as they are brought in. The tone of the game is dark and lonely, which makes every stride towards the end feel more and more desperate and exciting. The ability to do that with any medium of media is an accomplishment in itself and makes the game worth playing. It's short, it's simple, but honestly it's a great time.… Expand

    I got this game free and I played through and got all the achievements except the less than 5 deaths one. It was worth playing but not as great as I was led to believe. I didn't really have fun playing this game and that is why I gave it such a low score. Also I feel that most of the deaths are not due to player error but to unresponsive controls.     Limbo is a great independent game that is enjoyable and different. I played through this game on the xBox 360 and it was given as a free download to Day One owners of the Xbox One. I was able to play through the entire game in roughly three hours and from what I saw it was the same game from the 360, just ported over, not even with a first-person mode. I kid, I kid.

    For those who have not experienced the game, it is a slow-paced adventure game with ranged puzzles. It does not have combat and your character can only jump and climb, similar to The Cave. The environment has an eerie style and the game plays seamlessly from beginning to end without any level changes or load screens.

    The game consists of playing as a boy who you can only see a silhouette of with glowing eyes. Overall there are broad puzzles ranging from very easy to more complex with timing involvement. Limbo is an interesting play through, the story is up for interpretation and the puzzles are amusing. It is a different game than most and the art style is the true draw.

    If you want something enjoyable and brief to play this is the game for you. However, if you are expecting a huge experience with in-depth gameplay and a thought provoking story I'd pass on it. Personally, Max and the Curse of the Brotherhood was more enjoyable for me.

    My suggestion is that since it was given for free to varying XB1 users, I would foresee that it will end up as a free XB Gold game soon shortly after the release in December...save your money.

    Nice indie game, a little bit too simple in 2022 after so much more recent indie gems. It's interesting to play the one which inspired so much others (Little Nightmares for example). A basic gameplay in a nice setting, the character feels a bit like a potato and some phases are frustrating. Happily enough, there are many checkpoints. It've deserved a little bit more polish, but I'm lookingNice indie game, a little bit too simple in 2022 after so much more recent indie gems.     Limbo is an original game that tries a lot of things which makes it unique, with good atmosphere and some thrilling moments. Unfortunately, the lack of story, soundtrack, emotion and an interesting character makes it a forgettable experience. Bought it for less than 3 dollars and I feel cheated. There are better games with the same ideas. Not worth it.

    Limbo remains the same wonderful and disturbing experience that we lived almost five years ago. Although this is clearly a good point, maybe we would have hoped in some new content.

    Time has been gentle with this wonderful indie game. If you've never played it, this is the right time. If you already played it on Xbox 360 you can pass on this version since there’s nothing more for you.
