Although the story is filled with cringe-worthy tropes and the design is a little archaic in some aspects, Episode 1 is still a nice introduction to what hopefully will be an enduring series.

I've only played a few RPG's in my life. My favorite is Septerra Core: Legacy Of The Creator! ^_^ I was INSTANTLY hooked, VERY short. But after all, It is going to be released in episode format. I'd say on average, First play through....4-5 hours. I got lost a few times, For awhile. Cute little....Chibis!? VERY fun and addictive. Game does feel a little to easy. I hope the Dev (neko.works) Adds higher rate of difficulty in the future episodes. Other than that, I didn't encounter any bugs or any other problems. I can't wait for the future episodes! Definitely going to do another playthrough with Kuroko while we wait. Expand

IThere are two paths, one for each of the characters Haru and Kuroko. Thus far, I've only done Haru's path, and that took roughly two hours. I imagine Kuroko's will take a similar amount of time, maybe less depending on how similar their paths are. The story is charming, but not extremely deep as of this episode. The graphics and gameplay are charming. The exploration is similar to that of the Final Fantasy III Remake- the game allows you to zoom in to help you see items you may otherwise miss. Battle-wise, the game uses a version of the Active Time Battle system pioneered by Final Fantasy IV, and has hints of the Limit Break system from Final Fantasy VII. It feels good and it looks good, although I think it would be nice to have the option to speed up regular attacks- sometimes the battles can feel rather slow, especially if you like grinding for experience points. The mini-games found in the game are cute and fun. It's nice to see a JRPG that actually puts forth the effort to have mini-games again. That said, it would be nice if the game allowed you to continue playing on a completed save file, in case the player has missed any items they have missed while exploring. Really, the only problem I have with the game is that it is so short- and unfortunately, that's a big problem price which is somewhat steep for the asking. Expand
