Look, this is a really engaging dramatic cartoon, with lovely art style, pretty good story writing. As a game.. it's not on par with it's predecessors. Also it's a LOT more buggy, (Played on Xbox One X). I get Sean Floating and not animating, in cut scenes.. it also crashes to dashboard. I don't have any issue with the racism agenda setting as I'm neither American or Mexican. The was definitely the worst Life is Strange episode in the entire series. Gruelingly slow, tedious, buggy, with most decisions making no difference of note at all, no matter which you choose. Sadly, I think this is where I call it quits with this season. There were some decent moments (everything related to Captain Spirit), but overall this episode just let me down and I honestly feelThe was definitely the worst Life is Strange episode in the entire series. Episode two is of a much slower pace in comparison to its predecessor, and comes with less emphasis on heavy choices, as well as some minor bugs. The end result makes for a segment that doesn’t quite meet the quality that was paved by what came before it, but surprisingly manages to hold its own nonetheless. Rules is a solid addition to the Life is Strange world, and a great lead in to the challenging choices, inevitably still to come.

You can’t deny the intelligence of Life is Strange 2 – or any part of the entire Life is Strange franchise for that matter – but I feel that sometimes this at the expense of entertainment. It would be great to play at least a small portion of the game as Daniel, so you get to experience using his power – this would add a welcome new dimension to the gameplay.

Aside from the pacing, the episode is let down by a variety of technical issues which add a layer of frustration and detract from the experience. Fortunately we can see that the pace of Episode 3 is likely to pick up, and hopefully that finally reaches the potential this story is promising.
