By largely sticking to its own tried-and-tested formula, Let’s Sing 2021 is yet another opportunity to have an enjoyable time belting out some tunes to the best of your ability. Is it worth buying if you have last year’s version? It depends if you think its selection of songs is any good, and if you like singing alone. If the answer’s no on both counts, then don’t bother. Otherwise, it’s probably worth adding to your collection.

Let’s Sing 2021 on the Xbox One and Series X|S is a cover version of last year’s release, and it hits slightly higher notes. In all other respects it’s the same song, so it’s appeal to you will largely be down to the track listing. As with other years, the production is strong and slick, and with eight players and smartphones all welcomed, it’s one of the most inclusive music games out there.

Let’s Sing already did a pretty good job of setting itself apart from other singing games. Rather than limiting it to simply being a karaoke simulator, the developer has introduced a series of interesting mechanics and game modes to mix things up. Let’s Sing 2021 goes one step further with the challenging Legends mode, giving players a real reason to play by themselves. Of course, the game remains most fun when played with a group of friends, each competing to unleash their inner superstar, and that makes it a valuable addition to any party roster.
