Despite the handful of drawbacks, Landflix Odyssey is still a pretty fun journey into the realm of streaming services and it’s worth a punt if you’re interested in any of the shows parodied.

Landflix Odyssey holds its own in a sea of competitors by combining many ideas, yet never overwhelms the player. If you’ve ever been watching your favorite TV shows and wished you could play a video game version, Landflix Odyssey has granted your wish – in a comedic pixel platformer that will challenge your platforming skills one minute and have you smiling at its parodies the next.

In the end, Landflix Odyssey is a decent game. Sure, it can be a bit lame on the originality, but the platforming works well and the gimmick for each show is fun. There will be times you’ll be fed up with the trial and error style of gameplay, but I always found myself going back to it for one more try. It is definitely one of those game where you have to play it not the way you would but how the developers made it. For the platforming fans, it’s a decent trip. If you’re not really into perfecting a level in a game, I would suggest looking somewhere else for your platforming fix.

Landflix Odyssey is an action platforming game developed and published by Fantastico Studio. You are playing as Larry, lazy guy likes to watchLandflix Odyssey is an action platforming game developed and published by Fantastico Studio. You are playing as Larry, lazy guy likes to watch Landflix. One day, your remote controller battery goes dead, after looking around for some batteries Larry stumbles upon some extra special batteries. These batteries magically transports Larry into the TV and traps him into the Landflix streaming platform. So Larry becomes the leading role in his favorite shows and in order to escape he must obtain a battery from every show. In order to escape you must retrieve all five across the five series featured in the Landflix universe. The interface art and design looks good, it is like a pixel version of "Netflix" style interface. Each series has a funny, humorous name of a popular TV show, I really laughed out loud t a few of them. You can choose to play the first level in any of the five series. There is eight or nine levels in each series, two of them being boss stages. Also you need to collect coins in non-boss levels to unlock the next levels in each series. There is another collectible in the game as well via blue tickets. Usually they are hidden behind invisible walls or out of the normal way. By collecting blue tickets you can unlock the bonus episodes in the special features section of the level select menu. You can replay the level if you missed any of the collectibles and the collectibles you already collected will be transparent. The in level HUD tells you how many you have collected and how many coins or tickets you have left to collect. Gameplay is moving, jumping and burp. You can kill some enemies with normal jump, for other enemies first you stun them with burp and then you kill him with jump on the head. Each series has one or more extra mechanics and that changes the gameplay a bit, as well how they used the mechanics in each boss level. Landflix Odyssey is a good game with its stylish pixel art, humorous design, and gameplay if you want some fun you should definitely give Landflix Odyssey a download to your Xbox library. Expand
