The joy of the game comes from Kitty Powers herself. Her hilarious and sparkling personality is enough to keep you engaged at least for a few hours.

While it lasts, Kitty Powers' Matchmaker is a great time killer that is oddly addicting.

Overall, I found my time with Kitty Powers fun and unique, whilst leaving my face always smiling. The package the developers have put together is really polished and tight, with some great mini-game fun to be had. I do think the price is a bit too high though and if it were under the £10 mark it would be perfect. The game does drag after a while and you lose the impact of going on the dates and playing the mini games, especially when the stakes get higher.

Is Matchmaker life-changing? No. Is it action-packed and as gripping as Breath of the Wild? Certainly not. It is, however, a fun little time-waster, full of memory puzzles, personality assessment and inclusiveness.

I loved my first few hours with Kitty Powers' Matchmaker. It's relaxed, and kitsch gameplay is a refreshing change from the norm. It's got real character and a great sense of humor, and I'd love to see similar dating sims make follow suit and try their hand at the Xbox crowd. However, Kitty Power's Matchmaker's repetitive nature means it's best played in short bursts and I'd question the price point the developers went for when bringing the game to consoles. There's fun to be had but maybe not $12 worth.

Kitty Powers' Matchmaker is a fun little mobile game centered around finding love for desperate hipsters that has managed to find itself on consoles. Like a child in an adult conversation, it feels out of place. The game is well designed and colorful, but it can't be given to kids due to the overarching innuendos splashed across the world. With that in mind, the game seems to be a strange entry on Xbox One, with this reviewer finding it hard to place and to justify it being on the console in the first place. As a mobile game I would recommend it instantly because playing it in small doses on the go is fun, but I think console gamers demand deeper experiences.
