    If you’re after some classic multiplayer action that ignores the need for an online connection and welcomes the incredible fun that used to be at the centre of every multiplayer game, then Jump Gunners is a game you need to add to your collection.

    Jump Gunners’ most alluring feature is that due to its healthy serving of weaponry and its deep pool of destructible maps, the game constantly feels fresh and engaging, despite leaning on the same concept from beginning to end. If you’re on the market for a couch-play game that’s as over-the-top as it is action-packed and diverse, Jump Gunners should most certainly be on your radar.

    Jump Gunners has a strong main concept, but the game does so poorly at highlighting it that it merely feels like optional bells and whistles. That leaves us with a basic core of a competitive sidescrolling shooter, and while it works, it doesn’t have a high level of polish. It’s a mediocre party game you’ve seen a million times before; while it has enough mayhem to be fun with a few friends, it’s not going to leave a lasting impression on anyone.

    There is plenty of content for you to sink your teeth into and the best thing is that the content is varied enough to keep you satisfied forThere is plenty of content for you to sink your teeth into and the best thing is that the content is varied enough to keep you satisfied for quite a while. The presentation side of the game may be minamilist I actually quite enjoyed the quirky visuaks and sound design that’s been implemented. Thankfully they’ve got one of the most important aspects of a game of this ilk down to a tee and that is the controls, which thankfully remain tight and responsive throughout. The gameplay is an incredible amount of fun and when you play with a number of friends no game ever plays out the same way, which is great. There are a number of maps for you to shoot and kill on and I must admit that I was very impressed with the variation that was present in these maps. When played on your own the game can get repetetive quite quickly even if it’s fun at the start.The controls are fantastic they do take some time to get used to especially if you want to perform some eye-catching killing sprees. Does Jump Gunners do enough to get a recommendation from me? Jump Gunners is a game that reminds me just why I love indie game’s so much because it’s taken a simple idea and turned into a very fun experience that can be enjoyed time and time again. Playing with your friends is something this game highly recommends you do and when played this way you realise just how satisfying and fun shooting and killing in game’s can be and when it’s all said and done this game gets a lot of important things right which means it definitely gets a big thumbs up from me.… Expand
