Tanya and Olga have a mystical bond that gives them great power, that they've always used for good. They've caught the eye of an evil monarchy and now the armies of Queen Evangelyn Bramann are after them. The Kingdom of Beljantur has kidnapped Olga, and now Tanya must set out to save her and stop the Evil Queen. You can choose to play either Olga or Tanya but this only seems to be an aesthetic choice. the game is fast-paced platforming mixed with a 2D brawler. You will be running along different stages beating the soldiers in your path. This game has great retro styling, from it's smooth 16bit graphics to its upbeat chiptune music, this game delivers the whole package. A lot of retro-style games have come out of recent, but Infinite: Beyond the Mind delivers it in a high octane package. The gameplay is fairly straight forward, you run, jump, punch the bad guys and avoid damage while wall jumping and double jumping to reach your destination. The Boss fights are fairly challenging and come at you hard too. If you enjoy a good 2D brawler or fast-paced platformer, don't let this jewel from Blowfish get passed up! Expand

Unfortunately, everything about Infinite - Beyond the Mind on Xbox One screams average. It’s lacking ambition and gets repetitive quickly. Even at a modest £7.99 it’s hard to recommend, as beyond the lovely retro skin it’s not got a lot else going for it.

Although Infinite - Beyond The Mind doesn't take many risks gameplay-wise, it's still a solid and fairly fun 2D ninja action game.

Infinite: Beyond the Mind brings back the simplicity of proper retro action platformers in a great way. There’s no fluff or unnecessary padding, just honest, simple action that keeps the pace flowing nicely. It’s definitely better as a co-op experience thanks to a slight leg up in tricky sections, though solo still manages to be damn good fun too.
