This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. To me this game sucks. Why? Because this is nothing like AC Odyssey! All you do is exploring the world, do challenges and do vaultpuzzles with the occasional fighting in between. The whole upgrade system with coins is laughable at best and infuriating at worst, because it adds another layer of annoyingness to becoming stronger. Wanna get more stamina? Do a challenge or a vault! Wanna get more health? Do a challenge or a vault!

Everything looks so childishly feminine, but that's just make believe. Vaults and challenges can get hard as hell, unless you look them up with a guide. The whole experience feels like some sadistic retard was given the script for this game and decided that the game needed to be hard for the sake of being a challenge, because: hey everybody likes their game to be hard as nails nowadays. Just make sure to put it in a nice cartoon candy wrapper, so even casuals will buy the game, because more profit $$$

That's basically it from my perspective: a challenging slasher/puzzle game, wrapped in candy coating, marketed as an adventure RPG. Anyway: it looks nice if you're into cartoons.

  1. It’s a new intellectual property, albeit set in the “played out” world of Greek mythology, and built from the foundations of the “Assassin’s Creed” series. And like most Ubisoft games, the writing and character work leaves a lot to be desired.

Although Immortals Fenyx Rising seems like a Breath of the Wild clone, it's done so well that gives you a great time, and even fill the gap for those who don't own a Nintendo Switch and can't play the Zelda series.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is the baby of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Breath of the Wild, and while the latter's inspiration is quite visible here, Immortals charm, be it from its story telling or style, covers up for a lot of the comparisons, making it a unique experience.
