I got it for free on twitch prime, and it sounded nice. The gameplay was not. "Hope", the playable character, got stuck in the first minute of gameplay three times I started it. At that point, I gave up. I imagine how a child fighting cancer, the main target audience of "I, Hope", might feel about that if it happened to her or him.

The cause the studio promotes by donating the proceeds of the game to cancer research is a good one, which might justify buying the game nonetheless.
As a game, it gets a 0 from me.

I, Hope doesn’t do an awful lot right with its relatively short, couple of hours, adventure, with problems in the gameplay mechanics standing in the way and immense frustration found at dying through no fault of your own. The execution of the idea is what hampers the experience, as there are some good blueprints here in regards both the platforming and puzzling aspects.

On the basis that 100 percent of proceeds are being donated to charity to help sick and suffering children, I, Hope outshines any other game on the market. The same sadly cannot be said about the game in general. I, Hope is a shoddy platformer that’s bland, frustrating and utterly underdeveloped. If you’re looking for your next platforming fix, this two hour adventure will only serve to disappoint you.
