I really enjoyed the presentation side of the game because you can tell that a lot of love and effort has gone into both the visuals and sound design. The gameplay can be a huge amount of fun when in full flow and I love how the gameplay remains fair and challenging at the all times. Technically the game runs smooth most of the time and I haven’t bumped into any serious problems, which is impressive considering I’ve sunk quite a few hours in. There isn’t much in terms of a playerbase at the moment and it can take quite a while to find a game.
The game could do with a few maps because playing on the same map over and over again can make things become tedious quite quickly. I really enjoyed the characters some feel a little unbalanced and at times this can be a little frustrating. You can’t move today without bumping into a MOBA and whilst I’m actually a fan of these types of game’s I can’t help feeling that the genre is a little saturated. That being said despite the overcrowded genre I still like to get to grips with a new MOBA so I did have some interest in Hyper Universe. I will say though that the interest wasn’t too high and that was mainly due to a few negative comments I’ve seen about the game and after playing it for a while I can see why some dislike the game. Negativity aside though the game is actually pretty decent and whilst it’s not the best MOBA around it still does enough to get a recommendation from me because it does do some important things right.… Expand
