The soundtrack and neon visuals alone are worth checking these games out for but if you enjoy weird plots, Quentin Tarantino films or the 1980’s, I also recommend this collection. There’s a lot of fun to be had across both titles if you have the patients. Some moments will feel like beating your head against the wall and others will feel like that small crack that brings a dam crumbling down. The difference between a successful run and a failure is clutch timing and a bit of luck. Bloodshed has never looked so good top-down.

The Hotline Miami Collection on Xbox One features fast-paced action, an unbeatable soundtrack, retro presentation and an intriguing plot. Lots of replay value, optional ways to play and a tough-as-nails difficulty will keep any gamers invested for a long time. If you’re willing to move past some annoying gameplay sections to get to see Hotline’s coolest ideas, than the Collection is a no-brainer.

Hotline Miami Collection finally brings one of the most iconic and charismatic indie series of the last decade. Its violent but tactical gameplay, hyperdetailed 80s styled pixel art and frantic rhythm make it a game to have even counting in some design flaws. It doesn't add anything new to the original games, but if you never played it, it's definitely a buy to consider.

These titles were notThe Hotline Miami Collection is both Hotline Miami Titles. They are twin-stick Beat 'em Ups with brutal overhead action. These titles were not intended for young gamers, as they have many dark underlying themes, and the second game actually has a disclaimer and the option to skip some of the darker scenes. Both games play almost identically, using primarily the bumpers as your main controls aside from the twin-stick move and aim. With a wild array of weapons to chose from you're job is to cause as much harm as possible, for varying reasons. You can use your fists, countless melee weapons and a veritable arsenal of guns to dispatch your opponents. The Masks also vary up the gameplay, giving you new options in your strategy. Hotline Miami also isn't easy, as one hit can kill you, so you need to strategize your moves, and time them with the enemies movements. You can use doors to knock your opponents down like with your fists or melee, but don't forget to finish them off or they'll get back up to kill you! The frantic bass and hypnotic synthetic tunes keep the atmosphere thick and add even more intensity to your encounters. Be fast, and efficient, and change up how you make your kills to gather the best scores you can. The heated combat is strangely satisfying and constantly intense. This game may not be suited for everyone, but those who enjoy a brutal, and tough Beat 'em Up will find quite a bit of fun in this collection. Expand
