  • Summary: Taking command of the near future spaceship HMSS Imperialise and her crew, you delve into the cosmos, solving puzzles, engaging in humourous banter, deal with crippling claustrophobia, gradually succumb to the sustained exposure of cosmic radiation, and so on. All for Queen and Country.

The puzzles challenge players without being overcomplicated and the game manages to mix humour and decent gameplay that will appeal to most players, even if some of the British humour will be lost on players from other regions.

It may not last long, but it is fun while it lasts. But if you're going in expecting anything substantial — or even anything you can play for longer than a lunch hour — you should know that your hopes are going to be dashed in a pretty extreme manner.

Who'd have thought that a game ostensibly about Brexit could not only be so funny, but also provide a selection of clever puzzles to boot? Her Majesty's SPIFFING is all of these things and therefore an adventure game you should most certainly play, if only for a little bit of levity with which to see out 2016.

Her Majesty’s SPIFFING is a fresh point & click adventure, where humor and parody are the king and queen. Aboard the Imperialise, Captain English and his lieutenant, Aled Jones, must conquer the galaxy in the name of Her Majesty the Queen. The game gives us an original and funny proposal, though its short length and constant tearing fades it.

Though funny at almost every turn and a rather competent first game from Billy Goat Entertainment, the fact that Her Majesty’s Spiffing leaves you flat-footed on a cliff-hanger that may never be resolved is a real shame.

For the brief moment it lasts, SPIFFING is a great game with an excellent script and a fairly high standard of production. Unfortunately, it's so short that it feels like a tutorial or a demo even. I'm known at XBLA Fans for commenting on game prices too often, but I can't ignore the fact that SPIFFING weighs in at nearly $20, yet lasts for less time than a decent TV drama.

Her Majesty's SPIFFING is a title which is full of English humor and with undoubted quality, music, artistic style...But the duration and the feeling with which it leaves us is bad. It seems that the game leaves many things stuck in the middle and the excess of humor sometimes seems forced. The relationship between duration and price is also not good. At least the game has great character design and intuitive gameplay.

Super funny but super short game. Hope they bring us more from these characters as this was just a teaser really. Still worth the price forSuper funny but super short game. Hope they bring us more from these characters as this was just a teaser really. Still worth the price for the laughs. To the developers I hope you can afford to bring us more in the future. Expand
