Jul 16, 2016An incredibly frantic roguelike action game, with pleasing graphics and a good humor. Its main downside is a too repetitive combat system, where you'll end up using the same 2-3 combos again and again and again.

Jul 5, 2016The ease of being able to pick up and play Heart&Slash should be a huge deciding factor if you're thinking about purchasing it. It is brilliant for filling in time between mainstream title releases, if not a game worth picking up just for the hell of it.

Jul 1, 2016Underneath the catchy soundtrack and neon art style is a game that is made for the hardcore gamer, but it’s also very accessible for a newcomer. The pick-up-and-play control scheme is simple and intuitive but it’ll also take patience and some luck to overcome the high difficulty.

Jun 23, 2016An interesting roguelike proposal that falls flat because of its combat mechanics and dull graphics. Besides that, it's an excellent choice for those who seek a challenge.

Jun 28, 2016Heart&Slash is a fun game marred by issues that should not plague this type of game. Frame rate stutters, a sporadic camera, and a seemingly useless dodge roll are almost dealbreakers in an action game of this type. Still, when I had a good run it felt good, and I can see the intentions of what the team was trying to achieve.

Jun 24, 2016The challenge presented may be of interest to a select few, but most gamers will pass on Heart & Slash. This is a shame, as I am a huge Indie game fan. But I don’t see myself venturing back into this title.
