    This version looks terrible, it makes you think why they bothered making this version given it was released on the series consoles. The multi-player is the reason for the low score, how can you say anything positive about the multi player.

    How far this series has fallen. This isn't Halo, its a woke mess. The devs have focused on social politics instead of making an entertaining game. It looks and plays very sluggishly. Rather go back and play the previous entries in the series.

    (Halo infinite on Xbox one for my experience) The campaign is very decent pretty much a step forward for 343 industries, however the multiplayer has a lack of content which I do not like and no it doesn’t feel like halo and the graphics is outrageously blurry on my xones but if you have Xbox one x I hope you have a decent experience.

    Я довольно заядлый геймер и меня мало чем удивить (в жанре шутреов в т. числе). Но Halo Infinite действительно открыл для меня такой привычный жанр по-новому. Каждая битва невероятно веселая, не скучная. Нет душности, кустов для отсиживания - арены динамичные, красивые и матчмейкинг невероятно мощный.
    Это то, что я очень хочу посоветовать каждому - отличный игровой опыт, тем более, что    Я довольно заядлый геймер и меня мало чем удивить (в жанре шутреов в т. числе).     Looks fantastic on Xbox one X, and you can switch to 60fps. Great game, i really enjoyed it. A fun sci-fi romp with the Chief, and a new sidekick cortana-type with a gorgeous voice. Interesting character development. Great game-play with vehicles, guns and fairly engaging stuff to do in the world, to the point where it doesn't get overwhelming. I played on beginner, and had fun, and iLooks fantastic on Xbox one X, and you can switch to 60fps. Great game, i really enjoyed it. Higher difficulties I can imagine it getting frustrating and tiresome with the endless amount of enemies everywhere you go, getting repetitive. Also, issues with it crashing and the monetization of online multiplayer. But as far as the single player I would give this a 9 easy. Essential for game pass subscribers. A fun 15 hour sci-fi romp, with lush visuals, what more could you want?… Expand

    (LVL 100 temporada 1) Soy jugador tanto de PC como de xbox, pero el juego en pc da mucho que desear, la optimización para lo que pesa el juego (28gb) es una porquería, es demasiado mala, para un juego que pesa lo mismo que fornite, y a esto voy, sobre los fps da vergüenza, como es posible que un juego tenga una optimización tan mala cuando tienes referentes como el antes dicho, Fornite en modo rendimiento te va fácil en una pc con integrados de ryzen 7 a 60 estables, y en modo normal igual, no entiendo como este juego pueda ir a 30 en xbox one, y la falta de modo rendimiento en pc, simplemente esta para reírse.
    El aim assist que tienen los de control es simplemente asqueroso, literalmente preferiría que sea opcional el modo cross, porque al menos si me voy a enojar porque me maten, me voy a enojar por que lo hagan justamente, con habilidad, no digo que los jugadores de control no la tengan, pero en su mayoria tienen tanto aim que es dificil no frustrarse.
    El juego es frustrante tanto en PC como en XBOX, el rendimiento deja que demasiado que desear, y no ha mejorado en 6 meses, el sistema de emparejamiento es muy malo, te pone con personas con habilidades mucho mejores que tu y sabes distinguir quien es de pc y quien es consola, sobre la personalización pues, nada, compra el pase, si crees que lo vas a terminar adelante, si no, entonces no juegues halo, no te la pasaras bien como en halo's anteriores, te vas a frustrar y mucho por tantas incoherencias con el Desync.
    Si soy sincero, ya que el juego te deja escoger a que pase de batalla le das experiencia, gracias a eso puedes dejar este juego en el limbo 1 año mas.    … Expand

    Campaign is good-not-great. The story is full of questions and not the “ooohhh, mysterious!” kind but the “Is there no explanation for this?” and “am I supposed to know what this is?” variety. Apparently they just abandoned the plot of Halo 5? So throughout this campaign, you just find things out after the fact, rather than feeling like the story is happening to you. Open world soundedCampaign is good-not-great. The story is full of questions and not the “ooohhh, mysterious!” kind but the “Is there no explanation for this?” and “am I supposed to know what this is?” variety. Apparently they just abandoned the plot of Halo 5? So throughout this campaign, you just find things out after the fact, rather than feeling like the story is happening to you. Open world sounded cool but, once you finish the campaign, it’s just boring. You can’t go back and replay missions so all there is left to do is try to find the discoverables.

    Multiplayer is a complete disappointment. After a few months, it’s very clear this was a Halo game made for people who didn’t like Halo. The consensus among players seems to be those who hadn’t played Halo CE-3 when they were current like Infinite while those who did play the first three installments don’t like it. It doesn’t FEEL like Halo. Rather than renovating the house, they tore it down and built an entirely new house, then put up a facade so it looks the same from the outside.

    Server issues, mediocre weapons, strange design choices no one seems to have an answer for, things that simply don’t work, lack of content at launch (even though it took longer than any other installment), charging us for things we’ve had included in the base price for over a decade, no pre- and post game lobbies, overly-complex controller settings (seems like it was just designed for PC gamers), takes like 60 seconds to mute an obnoxious player during a game (how many times you gonna die during that?), clunky physics, a challenge-based multiplayer ranking system means you’re matched up with people completely outside your skill level, etc., etc., etc.

    You know, I played over 20,000 matches of Halo 2 over the course of four years when I was a kid. Not to complete a rotating series of challenges but because the gameplay was simply fun. I can’t play more than 5-10 matches of Infinite at a time without getting bored or frustrated. After four months of giving it a shot, I think I’m tapped out. It just isn’t fun.    … Expand

    Game play is fun and the graphics are good, but the campaign isn't interesting enough for me to binge. The open-world is a nice try, but it feels like Far Cry, side quests everywhere, towers, mini-objectives and rpg elements that don't feel like Halo. The multiplayer lacks heavily in content and everything is behind a pay wall, Hopefully it gets better.

    Bare bones multi-player with hardly any good maps, they screwed up BTB, repetitive boring campaign with one biome, the new weapons are pretty crap while taking out better old ones along with some vehicles. I think 343i 8sn't any good at making halo games compared to how Bungie was.

Every boss you fight and every important scene was displayed in the trailer. there are 2 types of side quest that repeat at nauseum and absolutely 0 NPC driven quests or written lore. for an open world game this is undeniably horrible. when i got to the end i thought a good analogy for it was a commercial for shorter video games that just didn'tThis game literally only has 3 missions. But really good projects break out of the darkness of developers greedy for loot, and one of them is "Halo Infinite". In multiplayer we have to run on "Call of Duty" similar maps, kill enemis and do tasks of the match transferring enemy flags to your base, killing the enemy or holding the "ball" (in this case, the skull) longer than the opposing team.     Despite growing up with Halo and playing all the mainline games, as I've gotten older I've realised that it actually isn't very good. I suppose it's because I've played so many other games at this point that I have more to compare it against. Games have come along that have completely blown me away.     The shooting mechanics in Halo are still great. There is still nothing like landing a perfect sticky grenade. Pure, simple joy. Its universe has an epic sense of scope that is still difficult to match. However, already I'm struggling to find things I really appreciate. In this particular entry, there is a great variety of weapons to choose from - and that's maybe the best I've got.

    The story this time out is simple, and that's to its benefit, but it's also entirely predictable, and despite the stakes being clearly high, you never really feel that weight. Master Chief has always been dull. Decent voice performances but hampered by poor writing. Shooting is fun, but the game doesn't offer much to vary its gameplay. I dread the moment in every Halo where you have to laboriously circle a pair of Hunters, and this one repeats the trick at least 3 times. Just because they're now called "Banished", the enemies are still the same as in the original Halo (some new colours maybe?). My word, did I also get sick of those fellas with the shields. Just let me shoot you!! Added a grappling hook, but it's treated as one of four equipment choices (you think I'm switching?). And what is with its range? Let me have some fun with it! Even the environments are the same as the previous Halos. They keep re-using the same door asset and corridor designs. I kept getting deja vu. This one now has boss battles though. That's new. To Halo at least. Sort of. Oh, and this one has bugs. For instance, even after googling it, and finishing the game, I still couldn't figure out when progress had actually been saved. Its checkpoint locations were very inconsistent, whatever the case.

    Whoops! I almost forgot, this one is open world. Just what we all needed. Why are all the franchises that I could rely on to be linear suddenly becoming open world. Gears of War, the Metro series, now Halo. You lose control of the pacing by making these games open world. Is the open world worth it? No. Its environment has zero diversity, the enemies are still the same, and there are no rewards or worthwhile side stories out there to be found.

    In summary, Halo is overrated. Not bad, just not great.    … Expand

The core gameplay itself is excellent, especially the grapple hook mechanic. The campaign is in equal measure substancial, challenging and satisfying, despite being unable to replay story missions in its new open world format. The multiplayer isTo rank Halo Infinite among its peers in the series is a tough thing to do seeing as how different it is. This could be 343's best effort yet. The core gameplay itself is excellent, especially the grapple hook mechanic. The campaign is in equal measure substancial, challenging and satisfying, despite being unable to replay story missions in its new open world format. The multiplayer is well varied in modes but dealing with lag, cheaters and progression weighs it down. Ultimately, without the campaign's co-op and multiplayer's forge, it's pretty clear that this game launched incomplete. It's further hurt by the fact that half of the game is free to begin with, and the other half is a full $60, giving less of an incentive to actually buy it. This is one of many reasons why Game Pass is such a blessing to have.… Expand

Except for the house of reckoning which is one of the worst halo missions of all time. Story is decent, but feels rushed, and at the same time, not much happens. The endless could be interesting but we just don't know anything about them yet. And we have no idea yet what has happened to any of the halo 5 characters. Overall, the story sets up a potentially great story for future dlc, but isn't the best itself. Multiplayer is some of the best halo has had. And is very fun to play. My only complaint with Multiplayer is that there should be more launch content.… Expand

    I'm going to start this review with a truth, I was never a hardcore Halo fan like some. In truth I played the 1, 2, 3, and reach mainly as something to play for same console coop when I had friends come over. Then the money grab happened. For those that don't know Bungee originally had designed Halo to be a trilogy. Microsoft seeing the money from one of their top franchises drying upI'm going to start this review with a truth, I was never a hardcore Halo fan like some. In truth I played the 1, 2, 3, and reach mainly as something to play for same console coop when I had friends come over. Then the money grab happened. For those that don't know Bungee originally had designed Halo to be a trilogy. Microsoft seeing the money from one of their top franchises drying up said no make more. Bungee bought the company back and formed the LLC behind Destiny and Destiny 2, part of this buy out was the agreement to make two more Halo games for Microsoft before turning the game rights over to Microsoft. Hence Halo 3:ODST and Halo Reach. After this I stopped playing Halo period. I own a copy of Halo 4, it came with my Xbox 360. It's never been played. Then launch day of Infinte comes out, it's launched on my Games Pass. I decide to give it a go. I was completely surprised by the game. It's amazing for a shooter.

    - The open-world was a neat addition to the Halo formula, even if not executed perfectly - It feels good to shoot aliens. - The Weapon and Echo-216 were pretty cool. - The grappleshot and ability to throw fusion coils are literal game-changers. - It has the best boss fights in the entire Halo series - It is surprisingly well-optimized on the Xbox One,    Positives of the Campaign:

    - The Weapon and Echo-216 were pretty cool.
    - The grappleshot and ability to throw fusion coils are literal game-changers.
    - It has the best boss fights in the entire Halo series
    - It is surprisingly well-optimized on the Xbox One, crashing once during my first run

    The biggest positive is that the atmosphere of the interior missions felt unmistakably "Halo."

    The Campaign gets an 8/10 from me. The score would be higher, but I wanted to see:

    - Animated terminals
    - More enemy and environmental variety
    - More dedicated vehicle sequences
    - A more immersive open-world
    - Banished scarab battles

    My biggest complaint was that Heroic difficulty was way too easy, except for the final boss encounter.

    The flaws aside, 343 did a good job with the Campaign. For the first time in 10 years, I've fallen in love with Halo lore all over again, and I'm excited for what the future has in store. I hope the story DLCs maintain the same level of quality.

    For Xbone OG hardware game plays just fine. I understands that 8 years old console have their limits. Gunplay is great and addictive, not for casual newf@gs. I have just one question. Spartans and ODST can drive vehicles, but casual troopers are not? They don't have a licenses or what?

    The disc don´t actually contain the game so it´s impossible to install offline.
    There's no REAL physical copy. There´s actually a digital copy with a physical download key and that's just unacceptable for single player game.

Since then, the studio has been joined by others such as the Canadians from SkyBox Labs, the Californians from Sperasoft, and the Texas studio Certain Affinity, which is involved in the multiplayer part of the title. But let's stop talking about it, because it's time for the verdict on Halo Infinite! One thing is certain: Halo Infinite is off to a great start! The long introduction of the game (that is to say before you find yourself on the surface of the ring) is indeed quite intense and is full of action and epic scenes. Our first steps with the Major make our mouths water and also allow us to set the story, which takes place six months after the events of Halo 5. Right from the start, Master Chief is beaten (yes, you read that right!) to a pulp by a particularly strong Brute leader aboard the UNSC Infinity. However, Halo Infinite does not forget that we are in 2021, because it brings with it a fluid gameplay and a new useful equipment: the grapple launcher. If during the first presentation we had doubts about the relevance of such an object in a Halo, we must admit that these doubts are swept away. Even better, the Spartan can hang on with this grappling hook almost anywhere, giving the adventure an exhilarating and welcome feeling of freedom in the series. Enjoying a handling at the limit of perfection, the player takes very easily in hand our hero and manages to quickly chain the moments of bravery, by catapulting himself for example in height to play the sniper or by catching explosive coils that he can send on enemies. A grappling hook can also be used to grab opponents to come and put a good shot between their teeth! In short, we won't beat around the bush, the gameplay of Halo Infinite is a success and largely surpasses that of all the other episodes. With its map divided into three large areas, this Halo is an open-world game. In the field, the Major will have main and secondary mission objectives. However, don't expect a wide variety of secondary objectives. As in most open-world games, they are indeed quite classic and consist in capturing bases, saving allies, destroying towers or killing priority targets. However, the studio manages to make everything more dynamic and to integrate a new system that rewards the player for completing objectives: bravery points. The more points you have, the more powerful vehicles you can use in the bases, the better equipped marines you can count on and the more powerful weapons you can use. Wait, what are you still doing here? This game is the game we've all been waiting for check it out on gamepass or buy it if you are like me and have to catch 'em all like Pokemon! Campaign is quite good, for those who like to explore and continue with the story at your own pace. The semi open world is huge, and divided in several parts, call them islands if you wish. Strongholds and skirmishes are great, like in Halo CE and Halo 3.I cannot comment on how the game looks or runs on xbox one, but the game is awesome, played on series x. And it looks and feels great.     Campaign, during random dog fights some enemy banshees seem to vanish from the sky.
    Needs, bigger enemies around the semi open world, such as the Scarab in Halo 3.
    Multiplayer. Not a fan of the progression system in mp, but it seems they are fixing it.
    Needs a better playlist, the way they are now (random) causes some players to leave game modes they do not wish to play in, since you can't really select a game mode/type you like at the moment.    … Expand

    If this game was made by Naughty Dog, story would be horrible, Weapon would kill Master Chief in first hour or so and this big bad guy would win. Thankfully it's made by 343 and story and characters are great, beautiful graphics, amazing soundtrack and fun gameplay!

    I’m not convinced with this game and I don’t like it, graphics look bad in xbox one, xbox series s, and pc, multiplayer in either of them is really bad it has a lot of issues to fix. Halo 5 looks better and this new game that they sell us as the biggest promise of the generation ain’t seem to be haha, frame rate sucks, low quality textures and the campaign is nothing new and out of world.

    The open world is very impressive and has 5-6 things to at any time makeing it way less repetative than most open world games. The bosses feel fairly intellegent and some have some cool moves, they are a little to healthy but far less than in say zelda or mario or god of war.     Over all, the guns feel good, the punchijg feels snaply, the enemies are funny, and the story is engaging.

    The story is also pretty good, very engaging, and the open world machanics have yet to get old.

    I don't understand where things went wrong, and I'm glad I only spent a meager ONE DOLLAR for this with GamePass. The design decisions made on this from top to bottom just feel...wrong. Halo Infinite feels wrong. The gunplay is tightly woven, but who cares about that when the single player is barren? The multiplayer is fun but who cares about that when it has some of the worst predatory practices this side of the AAA video game industry brings to your doorstep?

    I'm sad that one of my favorite franchises had to burn to cinders like this: a mediocre, boring, uninteresting sci-fi ballad with nary a reason for me to give a crap about it when I can get more out of Doom nowadays.    … Expand

I've done a full play through on easy to get all the story beats and get through and learn all the things. Now that I've done that, I'm playing on Heroic and definitely notice the increase in difficulty. Mostly around enemy accuracy rather than them being more of a bullet sponge. Bosses probably feel more like that but with the right weapons, it ends up being not too bad. Example being Tremonious on Easy is pretty cake, can pull that off with a pistol and a couple 'nades no prob. On Heroic, had to toss a few fusion coils, run around a bit, blast em with full clip needler a few times and he was down. Took a few attemtps because he does a dope jump jet attack and tosses grenades n in the air and that can really mess you up. Anyway, heck of a lot of fun! Graphics arent too bad given that its open world, prob could have been better if they didnt have to support old console as well, but still pretty good looking game. Good textures and models and up close details. Dynamic lighting is rad, prob could use like weather or something, but other than that...love it. 10/10 because halo is back baby!… Expand

    It was not a good game, but it was fun. Studio 343 does not have the talent to make this game at all

    As a veteran gamer, I've grown quite fond of Halo over the decades, and could never have imagined the franchise to stoop so low as it does here.     The only good thing about this game is that it makes Halo 5 feel like a real masterpiece in comparison.
