    This game is truly amazing. The campaign is mindblowing!! Not made for the casuals or posers who don't know the Halo lore. It's very complicated and confusing if you're not up to date with it but then again the game does have a big 5 on it so you should know better than to skip any of the entries. The level design is amazing as well (exept missions 4,9 and 11) Almost every mission playsThis game is truly amazing. The campaign is mindblowing!! The level design is amazing as well (exept missions 4,9 and 11) Almost every mission plays differently with different combinations of weapons and vehicles. There is always more than one way of dealing with the groups of enemies you encounter, some people are just too dumb or too lazy to see the breakable walls, hidden weapons and vehicles. On the multiplayer side, Warzone is a great addition because it plays in a unique all out war way where kills aren't always the most important. Tho its lacking more maps for warzone and many classic game modes it's quite enough to keep you entertaining until the loads of free dlc arrive. Overall I give it a 9.5. Although it's not perfect. It's one of the best Halo I've ever played and definitely a fan service heavy lore campaign, but not for the casuals.… Expand

    Had a great time with Halo 5, and I'm a lore guy for the expanded universe, so the story was good, imho. I'm looking forward to seeing how this all wraps up!

    The story proper does some cliffhanging, but brings the current story arc to a safe spot: You get to do something that's quite important, even so that it makes a sequel possible. The story is overall more engaging than the previous parts where you basically just fallow orders with little perception of the big picture, the real war theatre.

    Best Halo Game Ever! Period. I'm sure 99% of the negative user reviews are Playstation and PC fanboys or people who never even played it. One must play all previous Halo game to totally appreciate Halo 5. Best all time shooter in graphics and game play I have ever played. That's 30 years of gaming under my belt.

    The game is clearly the best Halo there is with it being the first created ground up for the XBox One. Graphics 10/10 an I'm a graphics freak and own the best GPU's on PC and on XBox the graphics are excellent. Sound - again awesome but super awesome through stereo headphones. With my 360 Headphones it's like being there in person. Gameplay. 60 frames per second bliss. Controls are smooth and responsive and what can you say about the 360 controller except it beats the crap out of a PS4 controller. I've only dabbled in multiplayer so I'll do a different review of it. Halo beats the crap out of inferior games of the same genre and unless you want to play them all your life, get an XBox One because this is the pinnacle of shooters with nothing else in its league.… Expand

    This is my equal favourite Halo (with Halo 2).

    If you love great gunplay, a cool story and the best MP this side of the Infinity....then this game is for you.
    Just be ready to know your lore prior to playing, that is my biggest advice: it's pretty dense from the start.

    10/10 - Would buy it for Warzones alone (it's that good, and great dedicated servers for Aus/NZ).

    Halo 5 is a beautiful game, I would be giving this about a 8.75 but the trolls have gotten on and are giving it a zero so I have to compensate. The game looks beautiful, the story may not be the greatest in the series but it is solid. Controls are tight as can be, the campaign is short but I think most people will play multiplayer for a long time to come.

Arena feels good (really good) when I do something amazing, especially when accompanied with the medal announcer voice.     You will not find a multiplayer experience like this anywhere else. It truly sets itself apart from all other FPS in both gameplay and looks. The multiplayer deserves a 10/10. As for the story due to lack of split screen and a campaign that felt a little short maybe even just 1-2 missions short it gets an 8/10. But overall still 10/10 cause that mutliplayer is a hella strong 10/10

    Best Halo in years. It runs better than any MP game I have ever played. All the idiots giving this game a zero just show themselves to be utter morons. While I don't think its a 10 I would give it a 9,5, I will give it a 10 to offset all the Sony Fantards who are giving it zero.

    Wow, this game is amazing.

    I'm into balanced multiplayer FPS games and this is the king of that category. No matter what weapon I have I always feel like I have a chance and that's what makes for a great game IMO. I play ranked doubles and other team playlists a lot and the games are almost always close, the skill matching is great. So many close games that come down to the wire.    Wow, this game is amazing.

    There are ranked, social, custom and warzone playlists with a custom browser where you can download & play, or just join a game on user created maps and game modes, crazy! I wish that was around in the H2 days.

    i've bought or received 20-30 games since I got H5 and it's still one of the most fun games I just haven't been able to put down. The huge content drops every month or so have helped keep it fresh for the last 18 months.

    TL;DR: Give this game a try if you like competitive multiplayer games with so many options.    … Expand

    Halo 5 is a wonderful game and the best Halo online so far for the series. If you enjoyed Halo 2 and 3 for multiplayer you will love this game. The wonderful new Warzone mode reminds me of a mix of classic halo, Unreal 2kl4 and battlefield. Arena Breakout is awesome to, as you have one live ala TF2 Arena mode and old school rainbow six.

    The campaign is not to bad either, but this game    Halo 5 is a wonderful game and the best Halo online so far for the series. If you enjoyed Halo 2 and 3 for multiplayer you will love this game.     Having played and completed every Halo up until now I can honestly say this one is right up there with the best. Not just Halo's, but games in general. Absolutely every element of this game is polished to perfection. The graphics, the audio, and even the loading times are simply fantastic.
    I personally hadn't listened to any of the "Hunt the Truth" clips, nor    'Next-Gen' at its finest.

    I personally hadn't listened to any of the "Hunt the Truth" clips, nor did I play all of the Spartan Ops in Halo 4, though it didn't take me long to find my feet in the narrative. Admittedly, you spend more of the time playing as Locke than Chief, though this in no way detracts from what is a genuine Halo experience. Moreso than 4, I thought. Having a team of 4 at any given time does not feel cheap (despite this being a genuine concern for me after watching early gameplay footage) as there is many a time you will permanently die. It's a delicate balance, and 343 have gotten it just right.
    The campaign could possibly have done to be a little longer (I clocked 8-9 hours on my Heroic difficulty playthrough), though every mission is jam-packed with content, and there is much replayability by way of collectables, and increased difficulty levels for you purists or achievement hunters out there. I for one am NOT looking forward to Legendary difficulty.. it's damn tough on Heroic!

Like the old days of Halo, except you feel like a highly mobile, augmented super soldier in a high tech suit of armor. The game looks fantastic, the story was a huge step upThis game was exactly what I was hoping for. The controls were tight and responsive, the new Spartan Abilities were just an absolute blast to utilize in combat, no more stupid Armor Abilities like Armor Lock or Decoy. Like the old days of Halo, except you feel like a highly mobile, augmented super soldier in a high tech suit of armor. The game looks fantastic, the story was a huge step up from Halo 4's (which I personally barely remember), and overall it's just fantastic. New weapons, new designs for returning weapons, as well as some alterations to a weapon's core mechanics to make them better. Case in point, the Suppressor's shots now lock on at close range. This is especially helpful against Prometheans, as it tends to target the weak points on their shoulders, chest, or back, depending on if you come at them head on or flank them.

    Multiplayer is a blast too. With all the new mechanics and no more custom classes for default Slayer, it's a solid blend of old and new Slayer. The maps are considerably varied and fun, the requisition system adds an interesting twist to leveling up and earning new items. Yes, there are microtransactions for a couple dollars to buy silver and gold requisition packs, but the only items you can get from this affect Warzone, not Slayer, so you don't have to worry about Slayer becoming Pay-to-Win. Hell, it's barely even Pay-to-Win for Warzone, because you can easily rack up enough requisition points for a gold pack just by playing the game, so it's really only there for the lazy or impatient. The only items received in requisition packs that can be used in Slayer are customization options and experience/requisition point boosts. Everything else - weapons, vehicles, and power-ups - affect Warzone only.

    The sound design is solid, every shot feels and sounds powerful, and the characters are phenomenal, too. The campaign focuses primarily on Spartan Locke Fireteam Osiris as they track down Chief and Blue Team, and only play as Chief and Blue Team for three missions, but I enjoyed Locke and Osiris so much that I don't even care. As much as I love Chief, it was nice to have a different lead protagonist in a main Halo game. The added mechanic of being able to direct troops was nice, too. I could draw the fire of an armored target, such as a Hunter, and maneuver it between myself and my fireteam, then order them to open fire and shred its vulnerable back. Or focus on a target that has me pinned down and I can't get a clear shot on. It allowed me to be more clever in my tactics rather than just blast everything and huck a few grenades for good measure.

    All in all, 10/10. I absolutely love this game, and I'm extremely excited for the sixth installment in a few years. Good thing I've got a solid multiplayer experience to keep me occupied until then.    … Expand

    And the new warzone gamemode is fantastic! And very fast paced, like league of legends meets Halo.

    Such an amazing job 343 has crafted. From graphics to story and to multiplayer. This is the best fps of the year and last years was my fav fps was titanfall..yeah mcc didn't make it to my fav but still a good game.

    Great multiplayer due to dedicated servers and smooth 60 FPS. Ranking system makes the game worth playing for competitive players. There will also be free DLC maps released over the course of the game's lifetime.

    Well, I've waited a long time for this game. The campaign is indeed not quite as good as previous halo games. So, I'm giving this a 10 to counter all of the pointlessly low 0 scores. Which are guaranteed to happen with halo. The multiplayer is the best since halo 3. Absolutely phenomenal, balanced. Competitive. We back.

First and foremost, this has the potiental to be the best halo mutiplayer experience, and thats a big statement coming from someone whos fav is halo 2. The weapons are pretty balanced, many weapons can be the your primary, the maps are taking some time to get used to butThis review is just based on mutiplayer! First and foremost, this has the potiental to be the best halo mutiplayer experience, and thats a big statement coming from someone whos fav is halo 2. The controls would have to be my only complaint, as it takes a little while to get used to, but using the recon setting is great after you get used to it.     A revolutionary Halo game that takes the game play forward, graphics next gen and a stella story that the fans have been begging for. Master Chief is back and more powerful then ever. Multiplayer runs smooth, connection is fast and the maps for the most part and intriguing. The Holiday title of the year is here.

    --if you've played Destiny and recall how super crisp and flowing the controls are and the handling of you're guy and every weapon is= well Halo5 showed me that Destiny's controls were-NOT perfect as Halo5 improved on this forumula..but we've all come to expect this with Bungie and 343/Halo etc..

    --Campaign--send wife to Ikea with fam or friends followed by dinner at somewhere and not to be home for 6-8 hours....Now just bring the whole 2-liter of Dew,,bag of Dorrito's or Cheddar popcorn,Crank up you're surround sound,,and get lost for 6 hours..after 2 hours phone rings,,after 2 more it starts blowing-up cause wife is offended at the uncomprehendable concept of you self entertaining yourself for hours. Ugh!

    --look I haven't even made it on multiplayer yet.. Mainly because I am playing on HEROIC(just under Legendary/hardest) and on Heroic you will Die ALOT and you can't run out guns a blazin.
    --playing on any difficulty level lower the heroic is only hurting yourself..but I comprehend WHY muthaf%{#%]s do it, they just wanna rush through it to jump into multiplayer..heck some peep show evenskipHalo Campaigns. This is just dumb!! Same thing with GTAV online. People skipped story mode. Ugh whatevs.

    ---Halo Master a chief Edition---remember using 'SKULLS'? And turning on "enemies throw more and drop more grenades"?? Well Halo5 campaign feels like that is turned on. When it's NOT. It's locked until you locate the skulls to unlock it...i loved this type of Rtifact hunting in any game where you hunt for a game altering hidden artifact etc..That skull for headshot party sounds with confetti is thee skull to get, I haven't found it yet..

    ---Haters--what kind of person registers a bogus account, scores a game a -0- and bounces????
    -you're NOT hurting Halo,Xbox, you're only hurting everyone by ruining Metacritic and yourself for sabotaging you're own property..do you really think anyone is gonna believe Halo5 is a ZERO, that it's a total bust, a failure?? halo and Cod and all AAA sequels don't work that way dude, they alter features, they don't flip the script...I know these are adults doing it too...so since Metacritic is broken as we know this game is awesome and worth the money for campaign or multiplayer alone...so with Metacritic scoring being broken from self mutilating adults, one must read individual reviews for pros & cons..I'll update with a serious review when I finish campaign and get some MP in......

    Best Halo after Halo CE and Reach. I love the story, graphics are awesome, I like some of the additions: aiming down sight, unlimited run, thrusting etc.

    Anyways here are my thoughts. This is Halo done right for the consumer. The multiplayer which is what will keep you coming back is great. Best the balance has ever been. Sure the lack of splitscreen is a bummer but it actually improves the quality of the games. Only 1 player of the 3 in a splitscreen would play relatively well as they had the bigger screen. This made games unbalanced and annoyed me when I'd get teamed with parties. Now it upsets me that I can't play with my wife for campaign but it's something I got over quickly as I noticed how great the game feels and looks having sacrificed the couch coop feature.

    While I don't like the req system as well as I enjoyed halo:Reach's unlock system it definetely makes the game more enjoyable with the promise of free content, an issue that past halos suffered from with population splitting.

    I love Angry Joe but he is misinformed with a lot of his issues with the game. This games great and only will get better. Shame that the company stuffed the story with weak characters at least the overall plot is great. One last tip, try to ignore Microsofts PR **** trailers, they lie to you.    … Expand

    Halo really managed to surprise once again bringing a wonderful plot to participate in allowing go to paths that I even imagined, risking his old and established characters and taking them to shady paths all this for us, as something that is reduntante but with an excellent multiplayer, which is quite fast, and aided by 60 FPS.

    Halo 5 has launched, and after playing it for 6 hours, I ensure you it's one of the bast Halo games ever. The multiplayer feels really grate, and I haven't had that much fun since Halo 2. The campaing, while it might not have the best possible ending, it's really epic and breathtaking.

    Overall, it's an excellent game. I think I may have found my new favourite Halo game.

    After playing 18h to cooperative campaign, and 8h to multiplayer modes, I can say that this Halo 5 Guardians is the best Halo in years.

    I played the campaign in Heroic, and it is quite challenging. The AI works really good and the enemies try to get cover, shoot and throw grenades to kill you and your team. The history itself, with the two spartans groups, feels very solid and interesting, like if you were reading a Halo novel.

    Arena mode is very fun. I have to say that it has no lag at all playing from Spain. It should receive more game modes as usual, but for now you have the very classic ones: slayer, team deathmatch, swat, capture the flag, free for all. It is important to mention that all DLC will come for free, so that is a good point for 343i

    The new game mechanics and control feel also very fresh and well. You are able to control the Spartan like in the Cinematic intro of the game: jumping everywhere, punching the ground, breaking barriers using a spartan charge, jump and turn around while in the air thanks to the jetpack ... You can make very interesting moves, that make you play faster, avoid better the shoots.

    Graphics are awesome too, some low detailed textures noticed, but in rare situations. The lighting is great, the scene density is high and the enemies are very detailed.

    Sound is really really good. It has been an epic win over the Halo 4 OST, which was simply good.

    I think I will play many many hours to this game, re-playing the campaign mode using skulls and maybe in legendary, and playing much more to the multiplayer mode.    … Expand

Ever since October, there have been monthly updates that have made this game fun and exciting. There are now new weapons, vehicles, armor sets, and maps. Halo 5 has the best forge in the series by milestones.     Fantastic experience. Great graphics. Story true to Halo lore. Nice to have 60 fps. Extremely fluid and intuitive. I like the new movement. Really looking forward to the next game.

    Halo 5 got mixed reviews but to my taste, despite high expectations, it scores very high and is an outstanding experience. Controls and gameplay feel smooth. The graphics are beautiful but not the best there is. The campaign lives off an great production with action packed sequences between missions and great voice actors. Fire team Osiris gets the most attention but the suspenful storyHalo 5 got mixed reviews but to my taste, despite high expectations, it scores very high and is an outstanding experience.     amazing game goes back to the old school days equal starts has a high skill gap solid smooth 60 fps looks great at the dynamic resolution great campaign if you are an old school halo fan you'll love it tons of fan service & it being the 2nd entry in the trilogy it has a cliff hanger ending but far better then halo 2's ending it just made me pumped to see what they'll do with halo 6

    343 should be very proud of themselves, easily the best multiplayer experience that I have played this gen, the beta clearly paid off, as it is running like a dream online :)

    currently doing a solo legendary campaign so far, I am hooked.

    look forward to playing online with everyone :)

    I'm really pleased with this new Halo. The servers and matchmaking are very stable for a launch that big. By the way, I would have liked to have a split screen coop. The new mode online mode Warzone is really fun to play.

    They enhanced the controls and now Halo is more responsive then ever. They modernized it faster by not Call of Duty style. It respect the Halo legacy, but still evolve.

    All the reviews about this game are very mixed. But the population and fan base to Halo is very different to other fan bases fro other FPS games. All i can say is that you will have allot of fun playing this game and even more with friends.

It reminds me almost on Conquest in Battlefield games, only with classic Halo gameplay. Arena mode is very good. It is just old style 4v4 action.     Only downside you might find is no split screen, but that is a luxury worth giving up when you’re gaining so much more!     Not sure where the low ratings on here are coming from but 343 did a great job on the multiplayer Warzone of this game, really love it. Campaign gameplay is also fun but I don't like the story. I think the story was huge let down of this game but all other aspects of this game 343 nailed it.

    How could you give a 0 to this game? The real issue I see with this game are the graphics, but that's the compromise for having a rock solid 60fps for campaign and multiplayer. The gameplay is the best of the entire saga, very very enjoyable. Campaign feels short but it is in average for the FPS genre. Soundtrack is perfect. It's an aberration that people gives it a 0, please grow up.

    Gameplay is top stuff. In the campaign, you always have a squad with you. They work really well, but as with all AI, something may go wrong - 99% of the time though, they work just fine. Being able to give them orders is also very helpful - you can make them pick up power weapons, use vehicles, hold a position and more. In terms of multiplayer the gameplay is very well balanced - all the weapons are useful. The more lethal guns are trickier to use, so it is a game that rewards skill. Learn these weapons well, and you can really do some damage. Also, the matches are always close, with teams only 5-10 kills apart, so every match is intense.

    The campaign experience is superb - if you know about the lore. If not, it will be a bit confusing. Good level design, good story, good gameplay - this is an excellent campaign. I would consider taking off a half point MAYBE for the fact the story might need a touch of familiarity with the lore. It is still none the less, a very entertaining campaign, and the vast majority of the story makes sense, with or without the knowledge of the lore.

    Warzone is just amazing. That's all there is to it. 12v12vAI. Earning req packs to customise your spartan and get cool gear for the warzone mode. Warthogs and ghosts and wraiths and scorpions and everything just going hell for leather killing each other. An absolute masterclass of how multiplayer should be done.

    Overall, a great game, really good campaign, fantastic multiplayer, definitely worth the buy. The promise of free DLC and the prospect of forge dropping in December leave even more to look forward to. Overall, the game truly deserves a 9.5-10/10.    … Expand

    So Fun, Smooth & Tight. Halo 5 is a masterpiece in design and execution. Moving and gunning mechanics are top-notch, Warzone is super addictive & the campaign is riveting. Even the UI is slick…you can really tell that 343i put a ton of love into this one. I’m already looking forward to all of the post-launch support coming our way. This is hands down the best FPS I have ever played.

    O melhor jogo da saga Halo já lançado até hoje, sentimos falta do split-screen, mas esperamos que a 343i cumpra a promessa de coloca-lo em Halo 6. A campanha tem um tempo bom e o multiplayer tira horas d sono de muitos jogadores, Halo tem grandes chances de ser o FPS do ano.

    Best Halo game so far, as a long-time player. Greater controls, aim on every weapons, spartan customization, online modes, and obviously the campaign are all astonishing. I pre-ordered 2 games in my life, and this was one. One I absolutely don't regret, for I was playing at 12:01 on my Xbox as soon as it came out.

    With the exception of the removal of split-screen...343 really nailed it. The campaign is great, they brought back skulls and collectables to find & co-op is better than ever in Halo 5. Multiplayer is fun & addicting. The gameplay is smooth and fast-paced. Warzone is incredible and I'm a huge fan of the REQ system. It's different yes...but I personally like some of the changes.     Halo 5 is a really good game it deserves much better reviews.Multiplayer is so fun the best Halo multiplayer I have ever played.Campaing is Awesome but the story is complexed because you can't really get into it if you haven't read comics and books.

    Wonderful game, people that say the graphics are bad I have to disagree there are a few graphic glitches (2 in the whole campaign) that make it look bad , but that is like for 1/2 seconds in the whole campaign.

    The game itself gameplay wise is amazing, both on campaign as on multiplayer. The new Warzone system is fun and is a good change.     The game is simply amazing, it's the next gen Halo I was expected, very smooth with 60fps, awesome graphics and a very fluid system combat, excellent storytelling and see the arbiter and buck back was very very nice! It's a 9/10 for me because the campaign is a little short (16 hrs in legendary) and no splitscreen, but when forge come out (and others game modes) it's going to be an 10/10,The game is simply amazing, it's the next gen Halo I was expected, very smooth with 60fps, awesome graphics and a very fluid system combat, excellent storytelling and see the arbiter and buck back was very very nice!     The best multiplayer in the Halo history, warzone is epic, the arena mode is so balanced and returns us to the competitive Halo era, also the history is great and has epic moments, playing with the whole blue team is amazing

    The audio quality and visual eye candy are enough to keep me immersed in an otherwise typical Halo gameplay outing. I usually stick to the solo Campaign but the fluidity of Halo 5 may draw me in to the multiplayerverse once I've completed some of my backlog of games. Well done, 343 Industries!

It literally takes 10 minutes to learn all the backstory to this game with a few simple web searches.

    I suck at multiplayer so I'm not going to be much of a help reviewing that. But from what I can tell, Warzone is basically the original Battlefront: you go around a big map killing enemies and capturing command posts until time runs out or you get enough kills or something. It seems fun if you're willing to put the time into it.

    All in all, I can honestly say that this game deserves a 10/10. Other reviewers will be griping about how 343 Industries is ruining the Halo franchise by trying to make the world different from the original trilogy or whatever, but I really think they're doing a fine job. It's like they think that 343 is bad only because it's not Bungie. When people look back at the old games, they only remember the good things about them. Because why remember the bad, right? Well, because then it would be a fair comparison to 343's games, and we can't have a fair comparison. We're too salty about Halo changing development companies.     - Weak characters. (Some are anyway)
    - Heavily reliant on lore. (Can be a good thing)
    - Repetitive boss fights.
    - Texturing issues.
    - Minor bugs.
    - Map rotation is kind of broken.
    - Radar is way too close-range.
    - Not enough Chief missions.
    - Shortest campaign yet. (Even though extremely replayable especially with a friend)
    - Confusing advertising may be misleading.
    - Theater downgrade.

    All in all, this game is a masterpiece. Yes, things could have been better like the inclusion of splitscreen for example, but seeing a feature like that in a game as complex as this is hard to imagine. Still have traditional game types such as: Team Slayer, Big Team Battle, SWAT, etc. 343 also just launched Warzone, with is the strongest and more popular section of the multiplayer.

    Traditional game types
    Extremely smooth
    Little to no frame rate dips
    Very competitive (also a con)
    Every weapon is useful

    Cons:
    No split-screen
    Very competitive (also a pro)

    Breakdown:

    Campaign: +2/2 (For what the campaign was, it was nearly flawless)
    Graphics: +2/2 (60fps. Absolutely beautiful)
    Matchmaking: +2/2 (Best since Halo: Reach)
    Replay ability: +2/2 (The campaign, matchmaking, collectibles will have you busy for a long time)
    Mechanics: +2/2 (The game functions flawlessly, all player movements are incredibly smooth)

    I know people will be pissed off, Yeah, changes are hard. But playing the same game over and over (Halo 1,2,3,4 Reach etc etc) was really ruining the game.

It's one of my favourite halos yet, the stores awesome with none stop action and it leads to what could be the most intense halo ever but the end is amazing as a standalone story. the graphics are great at showing the next gen power. The weapons look and feel great especially with 60 fps which never drops. The only thing that I wished had been different was our time with chief I wish he was featured more in the game along with blue team but never the less I love this game online is great and working they way it should war zone is great if your looking for an outstanding first person shooter with a great story definitely pick up this game… Expand

If you are newer to the series this game has plenty enough content to suck you in. Rather than ramble on jumping from point to point I will rate each category by itself.

    Campaign: I haven't finished it yet but am very close to completion. The story so far is very good. Regardless of the limited Master Chief portion its still really good but has fallen just short of a masterpiece. As it relates to Halo 4 its a little bit longer and requires a bit more attention.

    Multiplayer: Multiplayer has and always will be what draws me to Halo so its important that this mode be really really good in order for me to give it a slam dunk review. Luckily the multiplayer is so good I can't begin to describe how impressed I am. Warzone provides a breath of fresh air to the slayer/btb/swat multiplayer modes which can still be found in the Arena section. The playing card system is still a little weird but doesn't draw away from the experience at all.

    Graphics: AMAZING. Nothing else to say.

    Sound: The weapons sound a bit different and the enemies sound really good. If you have surround sound you should pump it through your speakers to get what is in my opinion one of the best sounding games on the planet.

    Controls: The controls took me a little bit to get used to. They feel a little bit looser than the controls of more recent Halo games (Reach and 4). This isn't to say they are bad at all but the seasoned veteran will probably need an hour or so to get used to the loose control style. I don't dig aiming down the sights as much as I did in H4 but its still pretty good.

    Overall: 10/10 its everything I expected and more. I am really happy with my purchase and you should be too. If you are a CoD fanboy or haven't ever really liked Halo I doubt you will this time around, no sense in even sinking the dough into the game, But if you love Halo you will love this game for sure. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys sci-fi shooters. Don't let the negative reviews quell you, its absolutely worth the price tag and will provide hours of fun.    … Expand

    Amazing entry of the Halo series. The multiplayer is top notch and the arena gameplay feels simply amazing and satisfying. The warzone mode adds a unique MOBA twist to it and it just feels satisfying pulling a come from behind victory. It really is a game mode for everyone. Attack bases, defend bases, go after AI, vehicles, on foot . . a game mode with everything.

    This is the best Halo for me! Amazing gameplay, great story and new characters, Huge and strategic scenarios. Warzone is a blast, Arena is much better than in Halo 4 and even Req. Packs are good!! 343i did a superb job and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

    Halo 5: Guardians is okay. Its campaign is rubbish, but the multiplayer is solid thanks to the foundation it’s built upon. Warzone is a really enjoyable experience, and while combat is still mostly about tossing grenades and hitting the melee button, the whole Requisition gimmick adds some much-needed flavor to proceedings.

For me the single player campaign was unbearably pompous and despite 1080p and 60 fps the visuals are not as breathtaking as they once were in Halo 4. The game builds a solid foundation for Halo 6, but it’s not one of those games you absolutely have to play. [13/2015, p.48]
