While Guilt Battle Arena makes for a fun distraction, there’s simply not enough content included to justify its staying power, rotating into party game night, mostly due to its price. If it was priced at about $5 then it would be a different story, as I’d have no problem dropping that for a quirky party game now and then, but it’s listed at $13. Sadly, the price tag is too high for what’s offered.

By all means check it out if you can grab it in a sale and have some mates over for a night of fun and games, but otherwise Guilt Bullet Arena misses the mark. Even with that one deadly bullet it plays on.

Guilt Battle Arena is a game that does thankfully carry with it some of these moments, but it also suffers with quite a few shortcomings too. Without a doubt the best way to play this game is with 4 people because things are crazy and very fun when played this way. The game does allow you to play on your own but I found playing it this way to be incredibly boring. The gameplay is very easy to grasp so that means anybody can play and I like that they stayed away from complicated methods. Guilt Battle Arena is not a game though that can be played for long periods because it can get tedious quite quickly, but I will say that it’s perfect for a quick half an hour here and there. In terms of content the game has quite a bit to be getting on with and most of the modes are fun. I was however a little disappointed to learn that they didn’t have any online multiplayer modes because in my opinion I think they needed them to give the game more replay value. A very important aspect in a game like this is what the arenas are like, and thankfully they’ve done a pretty good job here. Each arena has quite a lot of variety going for it and most important of all it’s fun to play in them. I would however have liked a few more arenas included, but that’s just a minor complaint. The presentation side of the game might not be to everybody’s liking, but it ticked a lot of boxes for me. Visually the game is very colourful and sometimes has a wacky feel to it and the accompanying sound design fits in with the gameplay really well. At the end of the day if you’re a fan of party games then you will find some enjoyment here. It’s not the best local co-op game by any stretch of the imagination but it’s not the worst either and it does get quite a lot of the basics right. Unfortunately there is a few too many shortcomings and this in my opinion harms the game’s potential, but when it’s all said and done it does just enough to get a small recommendation from me.
