Grim Fandango Remastered is one of the most acclaimed adventure games of all time remastered and back, better than ever. Grim Fandango Remastered has the all the beautiful art and engaging story fans remember, but has also been remastered to look, sound, and control even better than the award winning original release. Grim Fandango's setup is as exciting today as it was in 1998 when LucasArts was at its peak. I'ts status as a technical achievement has faded since, but the humour still cuts, the performances still shine and Grim Fandango's vision of the afterlife still stirs the imagination. Without in game hints, I'd advise that you have a good walkthrough close by. If this is your first Grim Fandango playthrough, enjoyment will depend heavily on your tolerance for the outdated adventure game design. Fans of the original will no doubt enjoy the experience once again on their Xbox One. Expand

The weakest of the LucasArts remasters, Grim Fandango Remastered on Xbox One has aged the most in terms of its visuals and obscure puzzling. There’s a fantastic story being told here, with Glottis, Manny, Chepito and the rest being absolute belters. But they’re stuck in a limbo of bloated sandboxes, plodding character speeds and puzzles that should have come with a pre-packaged walkthrough.
