There’s no denying that for its cheap cost, you’re getting more than enough content in return, but it’s content that ultimately becomes repetitive before too long. Much like each of its three predecessors, New Home fails to truly evolve its gameplay loop throughout its entirety. That said, I’ll credit the game for its simplicity and accessibility, but this means very little when innovation has been sacrificed as a result.

Once again I enjoyed the presentation side of the game like I did in all the previous games because the visuals and sound design are simpleOnce again I enjoyed the presentation side of the game like I did in all the previous games because the visuals and sound design are simple but effective. There’s a decent amount of content for you to get to grips with and for the most part the content available satisfies you quite a bit. The story doesn’t have much depth present in it again it was still pretty enjoyable and it’s a good continuation from the previous games. Technically the game held up really well throughout my time with it and I didn’t bump into any problems that frustrated me or harmed my experience in any way. There isn’t anything new present that we haven’t already seen in the previous games. It also doesn’t really challenge you in any way and I was able to complete each of the levels with a minimum amount of focus. If played for long periods of time then the game does start to get repetitive, so I would recommend that you play the game in short sittings. As previously mentioned a few times, I’m quite a big fan of the Gnomes Garden games and while each game hasn’t done anything to break the usual mould so to speak this didn’t really have much of an impact on the enjoyment I’ve had with the games. Gnomes Garden: New Home is no different and once again the series has delivered to me another fun and enjoyable experience without too many problems, especially when it came to the technical side of things. Unfortunately though if you weren’t a fan of the previous games then there isn’t anything here that will change your mind because there aren’t any new additions present here. I’m fine with that though because there’s a decent amount of content for you to get to grips with once again and even though the gameplay does get repetetive quite quickly I still managed to complete the game whilst having fun. I would however have liked to have faced more of a challenge when completing the game though because I didn’t feel like I got out of first year at any point during my time with the game and nor did I need to either. That being said despite its lack of a challenge Gnomes Garden: New Home still does more than enough to get a recommendation from me and if you enjoyed the previous games then I’m sure you’ll enjoy this one as well.
