Ghost Files: Memory of a Crime on Xbox One conjures up a very enjoyable narrative and gets the creepy serial killer character spot on. A lot of the puzzles you have to overcome tie-in really well with the background of the protagonist and the memory loss aspect.

You're an Ex-Cop turned Private Eye, and you awaken in the home of a potential target, who called you for help. Now you yourself are under investigation, as a suspect in these serial murders! With no memory of yesterday, you begin your investigation to try and clear your name and find the true murderer. Using deductive reasoning, you will have to figure out who to trust, and where to turn next. The gameplay is classic Point-and-Click, gathering evidence and putting the pieces together. You're equipped with an evidence case, and you get to use all the detective tools from a magnifying glass to matching DNA. The story is loaded with twists and turns and keeps you on your toes. The artwork is wonderful and keeps the dark aesthetic that holds the mood of the story strong. The music and ambient sound are complementary to the overall mood, staying back in your subconscious on not dominating the situations with sound. The game overall is masterfully made. With just over 5 hours for me to beat, the story kept me riveted to the edge of my seat and constantly guessing as to what is going to come at me next. Artifex Mundi did well in the delivery, as they have with their other titles. Sleuths should look fo this case to put in their files, as it's definitely one to check out. Expand
