    Gears 5 is one of if not the best original game for the Xbox One. After years of letdowns and mediocre games or broken games that take years to be good such as Halo MCC, Gears 5 brings an original story and fresh life into the market. I played on the Xbox One S and a PC with a 1050 ti. It ran fantastically on PC with a smooth, near-constant 60 fps on high however it is frame capped to 30Gears 5 is one of if not the best original game for the Xbox One. The game is standard Gears gameplay but still manages to be fun. With a friend, it is even better as you can flank or be in two separate areas whereas the AI will only follow you. The weapons are unique and most are fun to use. The story is strong for most the time but it builds up only to climax in a very short manner which is annoying sequel bait. It is a fun game and is worth a play and is free on Gamepass which is awesome.… Expand

    Gears 5 has been the most ambitious title in the franchise so far. The Coalition has really tried to expand upon the gameplay and the story. They have started to push the boundaries of what we know with Gears and take a few risks. They focused a lot more on story telling and giving us a reason to care about these characters. We see so much more emotional range from Marcus and company. TheGears 5 has been the most ambitious title in the franchise so far. The story and character writing makes all feel so much more realistic. The open world portions of the campaign were a well needed chance to slow down to appreciate the game world. The free roam and side quests were an excellent addition to the Gears formula. The areas do feel empty sometimes, but it feels like they have built great base that can be improved upon with newer iterations of the series. The light RPG mechanics are welcomed addition as well. Using and leveling Jack up with new abilities adds even more depth to already solid gameplay. The gameplay itself is the same tight smooth 3rd person cover shooting that Gears has been famous for. Quality and smooth controls have always been a staple of Gears and the Coalition did not disappoint with 5. The graphical detail in this game is superb. On PC and the Xbox One X running at 4K 60 fps this game is a visual feast for the eyes. Multiplayer has been expanded as well and has something to offer for many different tastes. Everyone from a beginner to a hardcore gamer can find a mode to hop in and enjoy. Escape, Horde, PVP matches, there is no shortage of multiplayer sweetness. the same tight smooth controls, excellent graphics from the campaign are all present here as well. Over Gears 5 feels like a good start in a new direction. Is it perfect? No, but there is a great foundation with new mechanics and ideas that could be expanded and improved upon. Gears 5 isn't a full blown reboot of the franchise, but an evolution. It still feels like Gears in every way and the new additions only add to the experience. This is a very solid game, and a huge improvement over Gears of War 4. Gears 5 could be the beginning of a new Era for Gears games.… Expand

    Awesome game. You can be playing for hours and not get bored. Graphics 4k, dynamic game, lots of things to do in this game. Best Gears ever and one of the best Xbox game ever made.

    Esperava um modo campanha pequeno, mas me surpreendi com o jogo, já no ato 1 começa bombando e só fica melhor. O novo modo fuga ficou muito show, desafiador pra caramba recomendado pra jogar com mais 2 amigos pra ser divertido mesmo. Nota 10!

    Historia buenísima, gráficos espectaculares y rendimiento a 60FPS inmejorable. No hay nada negativo que se pueda decir de este juegazo. Además de su campaña, sus modos Escape, Horda y multijugador te dan cientos de horas de diversión con la mejor calidad en un videojuego en esta generación. Sublime!

    Honestly, I never got into Gears at all. I've been an Xbox gamer since 01 and saw Gears in 06 and gave it a try. I wasn't a fan of the mechanics and it being a 3rd person shooter rubbed me the wrong way, so I gave up on it. As I grew up and matured, I saw this game was coming out and it was getting praise from the critics. So instead of played Gears 1-3, I watched YouTube videosHonestly, I never got into Gears at all. I've been an Xbox gamer since 01 and saw Gears in 06 and gave it a try. I wasn't a fan of the mechanics and it being a 3rd person shooter rubbed me the wrong way, so I gave up on it. As I grew up and matured, I saw this game was coming out and it was getting praise from the critics. So instead of played Gears 1-3, I watched YouTube videos summarizing the story of the 3, then I hopped on Gears 4 and I actually enjoyed it. A solid 8/10 from me.
    But, Gears 5, blows it out of the water. I wasn't sure how Kait being the main protagonist was going to affect me, I really liked JD in 4.
    You grow to really like Kait and feel for her situation as you learn more about her family and the link to the Locust. Del is a great co-companion and will give you a few laughs and Jack the robot was very well implemented into the schematics of the game.
    The semi-open world aspect of it was a blast and you can take your time and finish a couple of the secondary quests they offer. It's not as linear as previous games.
    I never thought I'd enjoy a Gears game this much, but they knocked it out of the park with this one. I'm officially a fan and will continue playing.    … Expand

    Acabo de terminar la campaña de Gears 5 y lo primero que me viene a la mente tras el final es: santa mierda, vaya viaje

    La campaña fue todo lo que espere, y mucho, mucho mas, el personaje de Kait Diaz, que ahora es nuestra protagonista, nos dejo la entrega anterior con un cliffhanger bastante rotundo, ella es la nieta de la reina Myra, finada a manos de Marcus dos juegos atrás.

    Kaith tiene mas de un secreto que desvelar, tras la muerte de su madre, su legado como descendiente de la realeza locust desencadenara un viaje sin precedentes, para buscar respuestas, a si misma, y una amenaza que podría ser igual, o mayor, a la que Marcus Fénix y el pelotón delta derroto ya antaño, teniendo nuevos aliados, los viejos miembros del pelotón kilo, un amigo duro de roer de una familia que carga una maldición y un viejo amigo directamente de Halbo Bay.

    Algo que me gustaría resaltar antes de avanzar mas en mi reseña, es el cuidado que tuvo the coalition en el diseño y desarrollo de personajes en esta entrega, ya que la ultima vez, nos entregaron varios personajes que se notaba daban para mucho mas, el cual es le caso de JD Fénix, la entrega pasada, no fue mas que el niño que no quiere seguir del todo el legado de su padre, pero nos quedo a deber personalidad, en esta entrega corrigen y aumentan el personaje de James, pues debido a un incidente, queda con cicatrices físicas y mentales de por vida, y lo hace comportarse como un personaje mas maduro y aguerrido,

    Gears 5 esta plagado de respuestas a cada esquina de la trama, mas de una vez te quedaras con la boca abierta al descubrir los secretos que esta saga llevaba guardando celosamente desde 2008 en Gears Of War 2

    Remarcable también el nada sencillo trabajo de hacer que una saga que lleva ya 13 años en el mercado y en nuestras consolas de Xbox se sienta fresca, interesante, única, emocionante e innovadora, con un mundo abierto, misiones secundarias, elementos que salpican de rol y exploración la experiencia Gears de siempre, que no se ve perjudicada por estos cambios, se siente que todo son añadidos sin quitar nada de lo que hace a Gears, Gears

    En conclusión, Gears 5 es uno de los mejores de la franquicia, y una segunda entrega perfecta de la saga de descendientes, un juego que cualquiera que haya jugado algún Gears debería jugar al completo. Una experiencia redonda, completa, satisfactoria, interesante y siempre, emocionante

    La version de One X es genial, y la de PC esta simplemente a otro nivel, un pequeño atisbo de la next gen... el gunplay es muy divertido, las misiones junto a la duración muy bien, la verdad que es mucho mejor juego del que me esperaba.     The game is one the most beautiful I have ever played. The action of the game is extremely entertaining and the adition of a deeper story then in previous gears makes this in my opinion a game of the year contender.

    With a deep/heart felt campaign (20+ hours to complete everything) and an evolution in gameplay to include one of the most robust MPs this generation, Gears 5 is no doubt the best Gears of War game since Gears of War 3. The campaign starts you off with a bang and by the time you are done, you will be wanting even more, hint there will be a Gears 6. Graphically, Gears 5 is arguably the bestWith a deep/heart felt campaign (20+ hours to complete everything) and an evolution in gameplay to include one of the most robust MPs this generation, Gears 5 is no doubt the best Gears of War game since Gears of War 3. The campaign starts you off with a bang and by the time you are done, you will be wanting even more, hint there will be a Gears 6. Graphically, Gears 5 is arguably the best looking game this generation, utilizing HDR to the fullest and runs in 4K/60fps, something no one would think a game that has this much detail could do.

    The MP is robust to say the least with multiple modes like VS (this mode has 3 or 4 modes alone with in it), co-op, Horde, Escape and for the first time ever in a Gears game a map editor/builder. No doubt this game has hundreds of hours of gameplay, with free future DLC. If you are a Gears fan or even an action game fan, this game is for you. I recommend a buy and if you aren't sure, you can also hop on Gamepass and play it for cheap. No doubt one of the best games this generation and so far the best game in 2019.

    My only grips with the game are that the servers seem to be functioning at around 70%. Takes a while for you to see your stats or for your stats to be updated. Also had a few saving issues from time to time, as in I'll be playing the game and it was a continued saving sequence, then booted me back a few minutes. Again I believe this will be fixed and it is not that big of a deal. If not for these issues, this game could have been a 10/10. It is that good.

    Excellent shooting mechanics, fun guns, insane graphics, great animations, voice work, mocap and locations.     Co-op worked really well and the fact that each player has different perspectives all the way through left us talking the whole time about what we just saw. The writing and dialogue was decent and the overall story was fine, nothing hugely new or special but it services the game. A couple of emotional moments and choices to be made but this isn't going to replace your story driven games. At least the characters were really likeable. Would NOT recommend playing with a 3rd friend as the robot job is not a fun one. He is essentially your ability user and helper and has some neat upgrades which give a good reason to do side quests, but having someon play as him the whole time is boring. He functions much much better when the two players can use him as the AI whenever. I see what they were going for with this but it just didn't pan out. Taking control of the robot leaves you lacking with fun things to do - especially shooting people.

    I played on the PC and had absolutely no performance issues. There are a suite of options to choose from and customization is well beyond what's expected. There are tons of accessibility options which is just amazing to see and even as someone with no problem hearing the descriptive captions were helpful. This is definitely somthing to commend both Microsoft and the Coalition for and they really just made a superbly enjoyable game.    … Expand

    Gears 5 is an odd thing; it's neither a grand leap forwards, nor a complete rehash of what came before, and therefore sits somewhere in the middle of the two. On the whole, the improvements do outweigh the negatives (the non-linear approach to campaign levels and the small changes to horde mode being some of the most notable), and while The Coalition still has some work to do to really make the series its own, this is a far bolder and more varied approach the relatively safe Gears 4. If you love shooters and you want a good place to jump back into the series, this is perfect place to work the rust out of your lancer.

    Gears 5 offers a solid portion of brutal action with several refreshing new things. If you have intentionally avoided games from this series, the fifth sequel probably won´t change your mind, but if you are looking for a quality action game and you are still a fan of multiplayer, try it.     Gears 5 proposes a breathtaking solo campaign and a generous array of multiplayer modes. Even if the recipe remains classic, we really want to go through with it. The characters are rather well written, the environments are often spectacular, and Jack the robot adds some salt to the gameplay. A visual feast and glorious action game that perfectly demonstrate Xbox One X's true power.
