    Gears is back and xbox exclusives are back.
    After gears of war 4 being a pretty solid game over all, gears 5 blows everything out of the water.
    Graphically, mechanically, and story telling wise. Im glad to say gears 5 is a damn good game.

    Honest to God, I was just about to sell my Xbox, because the PS4 was just too good in itself (not mentioning the Game Pass, which in theory sounds great, but it just makes you have a huge library of unfinished games) - but this saved my console for another month or two. It looks great, it sounds great, it plays great and finally for the xbox one exclusives it has a story as well...

    I’ve been a fan of Gears, but never a die hard Gears head. I open with this a someone who enjoys video games and cools stories and fun game play. This for myself is the best to date. The addition of a cool new companion adds a lot to combat and gameplay throughout your journey. The Level design is top notch as expected from Gears. With the addition of open world Acts and side missions itI’ve been a fan of Gears, but never a die hard Gears head. I open with this a someone who enjoys video games and cools stories and fun game play. This for myself is the best to date. The addition of a cool new companion adds a lot to combat and gameplay throughout your journey. The Level design is top notch as expected from Gears. With the addition of open world Acts and side missions it makes exploring that much better driving you to explore every inch. Full of memorable and very heartfull moments, with great plot and interesting and developed characters. In Addition you get 3 sepparate Multiplayer games. It has more than enough for everyone and every taste. Absolute proofGears 5 was poorly advertised, making a big push towards multiplayer.     This is objectively the best Gears of War game in the series. From the content-side to the story and the visuals and everything, it delivers the Gears experience we've all been waiting for. Coalition proved that they are capable of holding the mantle.

    Excellent game, I have completed all the gears and this is my second favorite one, but it feels new in all the ways, 10/10 and I have Ps4 PRO, Xbox one X, Switch, PC Gamer and all retro consoles, not a fanboy, just honest about the game!

    Great campaign! It is a great evolution from the previous entries. Combat is more tense, specially playing in Experienced difficulty, but at the same time is more fun since you have more abilities to play with. Narrative is awesome, music and scenery just nailed it. A must play for any Gears fan.

I was pleasantly surprised at how the campaign evolved the story while adding in RPG Elements, Stealth moments, and a Semi-open - World with Side missions. I had a blast and see this as a bright future for The Coalition and Xbox Game Studios going forward.… Expand

O robô Jack trás ainda mais profundidade a jogabilidade com suas habilidades (super escudo, invisibilidade, armadilha de choque,Jogo incrível, de longe o melhor Gears e também um dos melhores jogos da geração. Jogabilidade ainda mais refinada do que seu antecessor, se mostrando mais dinâmica com novos movimentos e elementos de stealth agora com elementos de mundo aberto e exploração. O robô Jack trás ainda mais profundidade a jogabilidade com suas habilidades (super escudo, invisibilidade, armadilha de choque, etc) fazendo com que cada jogador faça o uso destas da forma que desejar criando seu próprio estilo de jogo.
    História mais profunda, prende o jogador do início ao fim com vários momentos memoraveis os personagens novos estão ainda mais interessantes do que em Gears of War 4 e os antigos continuam fiéis a suas raizes trazendo ótimos fan services para os fãs de longa data.
    Gráficos espetaculares rodando em 4k/60 no Xbox One X mesmo em trechos de mundo aberto ele se mantém muito bonito e com uma performance estável, de longe um dos jogos mais bonitos dessa geração Parte sonora impecável principalmente se o jogador estiver utilizando Dolby Atmos, efeitos das explosões, tiros, som ambiente, tudo em uma qualidade absurda, recomendo jogar com Headset
    Trilha sonora marcante que lembra bastante os primeiros jogos da série em específico Gears of War 2 trazendo um sentimento de nostalgia.

    Gears 5 is an outstanding addition to the series. The open acts in the middle of the campaign were a nice change of pace. I look forward to them making the open world aspects a little more lively and interactive in the next games. The multiplayer is also very enjoyable. I've never been a big Gears multiplayer fan but this one might have me hooked.

    Gears5 catapults this studio into god-tier developers and sets the bar very high for all the other Xbox Studios.

    Alguns poblemas no lançamento, mas é algo comum para grandes titulos até se estabilizarem.

    A stunning looking game on the Xbox One X, the HDR implementation is jaw dropping. I was never a Gears fan, but I am having a ball playing this. Well done Microsoft XBOX and The Coalition. Keep it up!

As I progressed to the story I made sure to look foe every collectable I could find and every upgrade for jack. Doing this actually was a good thing it gave me time to enjoy the beauty of the game and the fire fights. Overall this is a great game to play by yourself or friend, the campaign is 3 player coop one player gets to be Jack, split screen is also available(rare in games these days), and there is also horde mode, multiplayer and the new game mode scape. The games look amazing in 4k and the addition of 60fps for the first time on the campaign is very much welcome.… Expand

    Great game multiplayer and escape are fun. The campaign has great story but the bugs glitches get in the way sometimes you might have to select a chapter at some ponit like i did in act 3 but over all this game is contender for game of the year

    Wow. I haven’t been this impressed by a Gears game since Gears of War 1 when it all started. Best game in the serie, best third person gunplay ever, best visuals ever, my personal Game Of The Year and a fantastic new interesting main protagonist and story. Hats off to The Coalition!

Resolveu problemas presentes no gears 4 como um melhor desenvolvimento de personagens , historia mais envolvente que te prende a todo momento e o mundo aberto que agregou bastante . O modo versus continua muito bom e competitivo . O modo horda teve melhoras e os personagens divididos por classe ficou muito bom , alem disso o modo fuga veio pra agregar bastante sendo um modo de jogo divertido e que nao leva muito tempo para ser concluido , principalmente se jogado com amigos . O robo jack é excelente e agrega bastante na variedade de gameplay . Os personagems ficaram mais carismaticos fazendo com que vc se interesse mais por eles , o que era um ponto fraco em gears 4.
    Gears 5 tem capacidade pra ser eleito o melhor da trilogia . Pontos negativos : Os bugs foram bem presentes para alguns jogadores e isso prejudica a gameplay , no meu caso sofri com alguns bugs do dia 6 ate o dia 8 , depois nao tive mais problemas com os bugs Outro ponto negativo sao os bots aliados que apresentam uma Inteligencia artificial bem ruim.

    Gears 5 was a glorious return for the coalition studio. Everything from soundtracks to design and oh my dear God those stunning environments that you've never seen before were just amazing! The game was perfectly baked and I didn't encounter a single bug or glitch in the campaign! Looking forward for more of these good titles from Microsoft studios.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have been playing Gears since the first one came out back in 2006 so I know what to pretty much expect of the game. I have nothing bad to say about the campaign, as always. Beautiful graphics, great storyline and above all the gameplay itself was smooth (Xbox One). Oh man, those graphics... I already said beautiful graphics but I have to repeat myself because that's how great they were. The facial animations, the weapons, even the voice acting was perfect. Music to my ears. I won't lie, I died, A LOT, but granted I played on insane as always, since I'm a bit insane myself. The game itself has a long campaign, which I love, took me about 31 hours. Who doesn't love a game with a long storyline? Spoiler alert, the ending was phenomenal. It's pretty much all of Gears in a nutshell. I was sitting like a moron in front of my screen with my jaw hanging to the floor. Just an amazing experience. Even though I have mostly positive things to say about GOW 5, of course it comes with its negatives. I can't say there's any game, at least for me that doesn't come with SOME downfalls. The biggest nuisance in this game for me was the crashing. The game froze up, a lot. I would have to resort to dropping a grenade on myself so I can pretty much die and restart from my last save in order to correct the issue. Let's talk multiplayer: Horde (YAY), versus mode or escape. Horde is even more badass then it's ever been. Since each player brings something different to the table, it just makes wave after wave more enjoyable and more intense. I'm ashamed to say I only reached save 38. As a veteran of the game, how dare I! But just comes to show how much they amped up the difficulty. Loved it! Now, when it comes to the matchmaking, it's 50/50 here. I don't believe the system always made the best matchmaking setups, due to the fact it was rarely balanced, at least in my experience. Given that though, it's by far the best multiplayer they've achieved yet. Entering the Escape maps which seemed to be highly unpredictable was a rush and the new Arcade versus was just beautiful chaos. I was constantly experiencing tachycardia while playing Arcade in the most amazing way ever. Kept me constantly on my tippy toes. Piece of advice to my fellow female gamer, don't play this in heels like I did at one point. Yes, I was playing in heels, and yes I stood up often due to my adrenaline and YES, I did fall once, maybe twice? Okay... maybe more than twice. Long story short, if you're a Gears fan from the beginning or you're just starting out the series for the first time, you will 100% enjoy about every aspect of the game. Everything from the amazing graphics, great storyline and smooth gameplay to the multiplayer modes and even those annoying little campers that hide in one spot during matchmaking that makes you want to pull your hair out or in my case use words I didn't know existed or throw a controller or two against the wall (and maybe one of my heels too, maybe...)… Expand

    Gears 5 uses pretty much the usuall combat. It feels powerful impactful. The gameplay is much smoother, with much improved graphical fidelity. The story Is the most detailed and coherent story in the series. Deep, emotional.

    I finished the Gears 5 campaign last night. I had an absolute blast playing through this game. Very surprised as I am not a major Gears of War fan overall.

    I recently played through Gears 4 and enjoyed it along with Kait's story. So I was looking forward to Gears 5 to see how it played out. I was not disappointed.     Graphics: Absolutely incredible looking game, and a pretty solid 60 FPS Frame Buffer. Smooth game.

    Audio: Extremely well done, guns sound great, enemies, music composition and timing, all excellent.

    Story: Solid as even some of the top tier games this generation. I was engrossed in the story! I was literally in shock and awe near the end of the game. It was literally jaw dropping. God of War meets Contra meets a massive blockbuster action movie. I could not believe it. The game was also much more emotional than previous entries, with some choices and arcs that are truly deep, and, in some cases, tough choices to make. It was a very involved story that did not feel generic.

    Gameplay: Gameplay typical of Gears with some new, very well done mechanics such as Jack, your AI assistant. Some new weapons, the Lancer GL is bad ass. Overall, gameplay is very solid.

    This game is a must play to me, even if you are not a huge Gears fan. I took some points off for various things that all added up, such as some issues in game with graphics, clipping, mapping, some disconnects in co-op. I also think the COG's need their own flashlight instead of just relying on Jack, that was rather frustrating. They also need a photo mode! This game BEGS to have one! Also, the new open world design in certain areas was a fun addition, but I feel like it was sparse overall in terms of exploration. They give you side objectives, but there are no random encounters in the open world, which made traveling kind of dull after a while.

    Overall, I give this game a 9/10. I think The Coalition did an incredible job, and I cannot wait for the next entry in the series! This game is one of my top 5 games of the generation, alongside God of War, RDR2, Spiderman, and the Forza Horizon entries. Do yourself a favor and give Gears 5 a play!    … Expand

    The best Gears game I have played. The visuals are stunning and the story is gripping. I cannot put the controller down (except to watch the amazing story cut scenes).

    Multiplayer is FIRE. The new modes really are a good variety to cater for ALL gears fans.

    Best Gears to date! Played them all and this one is top notch. My only complaint is needed more MP maps at launch. I know more will be coming but 7 to start, really. Anyway, great job to The Coalition!

    Having played all previous Gears, I can say that this is the best one. Everything feels and looks better. In the past I got a bit frustrated with the stiff movement and shooting when not in cover. However Gears 5 made huge improvement in this area and I think the game running at 60fps helps. I think this is the game to make me full in love with Gears again.

    Astonishing, I can't think of other words to describe this game. Probably the bast game of 2019!!!! I rally don't understand how some people can criticize this game and give it a 0 score: they probably haven't played it, it's the only reasonable explanation, because Gears 5 is almost uncriticizable.

    Gears 5 is an odd thing; it's neither a grand leap forwards, nor a complete rehash of what came before, and therefore sits somewhere in the middle of the two. On the whole, the improvements do outweigh the negatives (the non-linear approach to campaign levels and the small changes to horde mode being some of the most notable), and while The Coalition still has some work to do to really make the series its own, this is a far bolder and more varied approach the relatively safe Gears 4. If you love shooters and you want a good place to jump back into the series, this is perfect place to work the rust out of your lancer.

If you have intentionally avoided games from this series, the fifth sequel probably won´t change your mind, but if you are looking for a quality action game and you are still a fan of multiplayer, try it.     Gears 5 proposes a breathtaking solo campaign and a generous array of multiplayer modes. Even if the recipe remains classic, we really want to go through with it. The characters are rather well written, the environments are often spectacular, and Jack the robot adds some salt to the gameplay. A visual feast and glorious action game that perfectly demonstrate Xbox One X's true power.
